Customer Review: Great beginning basketball set

Our son (now 22 months old) got this basketball set when he was 18 months old. Made entirely of plastic, I had doubts about its durability. Sure enough, our son thought that hanging on the rim and bending it down was the object of the game. It took about a week to change his focus from the rim to putting the ball in the hoop. He has progressed from laying the ball in the hoop to short set shots.
After 4 months, the rim has been bent down a little, but the basketball set is still functional and fun.
After our recent move, we lost the piece that allows height adjustment. We were able to order a replacement from the Little Tike's website. Nice.
Oh, 1 more thing. Dad and Mom have a good time playing with the basketball set too. I recommend it.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter because I want her introduced to all sports; whether she chooses to go with a specific one years from now it all up to her, but I am doing my part. I cannot speak highly enough about this basketball set. It's GREAT! Even adults can join in with kids in playing with this! I have read more than one review saying that the rim/hoop keeps falling out... my suggestion is MAKE SURE IT'S IN ALL THE WAY! You will hear a click letting you know it's securely in, not to mention you can tell by looking at the back of it. It should be flush against the backboard. I hope that those few reviews won't hinder another parent's choice in purchasing this wonderful and family friendly toy! I have purchased Little Tykes products for 32 years. This last purchase was for our granddaughter. The product is great! It is adjustable for different sized/aged children and the beauty of it too, is that it grows with them which happily allows it to be used for a longer length of time than many other toys. It is made to be durable and used over and over. Kids have such fun working to score! It offers great exercise and the fun of as many or few playing with it together. It teaches children to keep trying and to never give up as you get better and better at scoring and can count on a lot of fun. Thank you Little Tykes for still producing such a basic but useful toy for our children.Customer Review: What a disappointment

I've purchased many Little Tikes toys; however, this one was a definite disappointment. My two year old loves basketball and loves all of her other Little Tikes toys. Immediately after purchasing it; she was so excited that she could hardly wait until we put it together. Assembly is easy and very painless. However, the plastic rim continues to detach from the baseboard during play. The plastic lacks the ability to remain attached even during light play. When she walks up and gently places the ball into the net, the rim still falls onto the floor. She is very disappointed. Our family is very displeased in the durability and performance of the Easy Score Basketball set.Customer Review: Took it back! You get what you pay for!

The hoop kept falling out of the backboard. 3 adults tried to keep it in place. It was a manufacturers defect, I am sure. I just did not want to take a chance on this happening again, so we did a little more researh and decided to get the upgraded one. We got the Electronic Shot one, and are MUCH more happy with it. It was worth the extra money. It has a wider base, the basketball hoop attaches differently (not into the backboard), it will grow better with my kids, and it plays games with the kids. I would have been happy with the Easy Shot, but I am REALLY happy with the upgrade. I feel it had much more to offer and was a better choice.
