This product was unreasonably hard to assemble and takes up too much space. Normally, I'm a wiz at putting together kiddie items. But this one was really difficult -- and unnecessarily so. Several parts simply didn't fit; I guess they weren't cut properly by the factory. Others were extremely difficult to get together because the factory didn't punch the holes properly. Very disappointing from Little Tikes, which usually makes good products. Plus, this easel is huge. Check it out in the store before you buy it online as it may not fit well in your home.Customer Review: Entertaining Easel

My 2 year old son recently received this easel as a birthday present. I put it together, and he has been using it ever since. Even at 2, he takes his artwork very serious and thoroughly enjoys it. He has fun using the chalkboard side; drawing and then erasing. On the paper side, he has fun with his Crayola crayons, washable, of course. He picks out a crayon, tells me what color it is, then hands it to me and I write the first letter of the name of the color so that he can start associating colors and letters. I have a 3 year old niece who wants to do nothing but arts and crafts. we gave her this for xmas and she and her 7 year old brother are on it all the time. they love it. we have found it to be easy to assemble, fold and store - although it is never stored. it stays up constantly. with a 7 year old boy it has been very durable - as you would expect from a little tikes product. we have experienced no problems related by other reviewers and i have recommended it to countless friends and co-workers with children. thanks for a great item.!!!!!!!Customer Review: Simple is sometimes the best

Our daughter (she is 2) has one of these at her grandmother's house and uses it often. While it is not her favorite toy, she will frequently get up from whatever she is doing, go over to the easel, draw something, and sit back down. With no bells or whistles, literally, this toy just lets a child be creative. It is also much easier to draw on than the floor and you don't have to risk mishaps of writing on tables. Our only problem is that sometimes she forgets that markers and crayons are for the paper and not the blackboard.

I asked for this easel for my daughter's 3rd birthday present. I saw it at a friend's house, and really liked it. To date (since April), it has never failed me. It is VERY easy to clean and very easy to move about. The chalkboard is perfect for little people, and the clip on the other side holds any type of paper. The trays are wonderful because they are so large, and because they come off so easily.
The final clincher is that it's so sturdy... never worry about it even rocking on its legs.
It's the best!
