We bought this for our daughter when she was 1. She is now 2 and has moved up to the bigger Little Tikes Kitchen (or one's like this) and the My Sweet Kitchen from Fisher Price. By 20 mos she sort of outgrew it but as we all know, all children are diffrent. When she did play with it, she loved it and loved the shapes on the refrigerator. I think if this is something you want to introduce to your child before he or she is 2 years old, you won't be dissapointed. Very Cute Toy!Customer Review: Great for babies

I'm surprised at the negative reviews for this product. We had this toy at the daycare I worked at and the babies loved it. True, it is way too lightweight for babies to pull-up on, but a little velcro on the bottom takes care of that (EVERYTHING in my classroom was velcroed to the floor). But this is really the only kitchen for kids this young. While babies don't understand imaginative play, they love trying to fit different things in the fridge and holes. My daughter recieved this toy when she was 5 months old. She primarly used it to pull herself up and tended to pick the entire kitchen up. It would have been helpful if it was slightly weighted on the bottom. Additionally, I was disappointed with the toaster. Either the toast should have been removable or it should have made sounds. She never became interested in the fridge door sorting but I am hoping that as her skills improve that it will become a fun game for her.Customer Review: Daughter hardly plays with it

My daughter got this for her first birthday from her uncle. We thought it was adorable, but she hardly ever plays with it. One week after she got it the sounds stopped working. Little tykes sent us a new one and now the refrigerator door falls off on this one all the time. The sounds are neat. Because it is so small, my daughter has a better time sitting on it or standing on it than anything else. We purchased the Discovers Sounds Kitchen for our daughter for her 1st birthday, and she really adores it. She is fascinated with the doors on the kitchen set, and she opens and closes them all the time. Our daughter also likes to place and remove all of the food items from the fridge and other compartments that come with the kitchen. Plus, it's fun for us to play with it with her. Overall, this product is fun, durable, and keeps our daughter's attention.
