Toys and Games Reviews of Little Tikes Discover Sounds KitchenCustomer Review: Cookin in the Kitchen!! Summary: 5 Stars
Hi!! I have never written a review..but... I had to on this item.... My daughter LOVES this kitchen.... She talks on the phone and puts away the food and just loves the sounds it makes!! The only negative is that she was starting to stand up and would try to use this item as a support for her to stand... DONT LET THAT HAPPEN!! She toppled over and it was not a good day after that... Other than that she just loves shaking the salt shaker and the spatula and spoon and brings me the cheese wedge!!! Make sure you get the supplement (the spatula and spoon and shaker...) it makes the kitchen!!! Cant wait to get the big girl kitchen for her next christmas...something tells me shes ready!!!
Customer Review: Recommend for babies under one Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter LOVED this kitchen from about 9 mos. till about 13 mos., then she lost interest. She used to dance to the sounds that it makes (which to me are fun and not irritating, like other toys). It did sometimes go off on its own...usually if a door slammed or even thunder. We would just turn it off at night. This toy was by far my baby's favorite and it held her interest much longer than any other toy. Its a great size for a busy crawler/new walker and it has enough things to open/press/drop for the 7-12 mos. set. Though the 2 and 3 year-olds who come over have fun with it too! I recommend this for babies younger than one year, though he/she may have fun with it longer than that.
Customer Review: My Child's Favorite Toy for Months! Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter received this as a Christmas gift when she was 5 months old. We waited until she learned to sit up on her own, and it has now been her FAVORITE toy from age 6 months to now (10 months). The shape sorter, the frying pan noises, the music for opening the oven... she can occupy herself with this toy for hours if we let her.
The only downfall is that yes, the refrigerator door will come off. However, it goes back on quite easily. Little Tikes is attempting to market this as a toddler toy, but it really is probably too small to hold much value for toddlers (this kitchen is short, perfectly sized for an infant sitting upright.)
Customer Review: Consider something else... Summary: 2 Stars
We received this kitchen for our 1-year old's birthday. She barely takes notice of it! Although the sounds were initially thrilling to hear, they have since lost their appeal. It is so tiny (barely 16 inches high) that she must sit to enjoy anything about it. Also, it is lightweight... so, don't be surprised when you see it knocked over or dragged off into another area.
The real treasure about this kitchen are the tiny shapes, pots, & utensils that come with it. It's just unfortunate to spend so much on accessories!
Choose this toy wisely. It is for such a limited time that a child will be interested in it!
Customer Review: not too impressed Summary: 2 Stars
We gave this kitchen to my daughter at her 1st birthday. She is now well past her 2nd birthday and has yet to play much with this toy. It just doesn't do that much. There are 3 food shapes to put in the sorter, a couple doors to open and a few burners that make sounds. My daughter plays with it for about one minute and then moves on. My advice is: if you want a shape sorter type toy, buy a much smaller one with more spaces (like the classic tupperware one with 10 shapes, my daughter loves that one), and if you want a kitchen for you child, just break down and buy a big play kitchen. Your child can play with that for years and years.
