Customer Review: AWESOME , my 8 month old LOVES it!!!!

I bought this for my 8 month old son for Christmas, I didn't buy it online though. Got mine at kmart for 14.95. Anyway, he absolutely LOVES it!!! He sits for over an hour playing with it (with me of course helping him) but he opens and closes all the doors. He likes to eat the phone (haha) the little milk carton, cheese and egg are shapes that fit into the refrigerator door. The pan fits on the stove and it makes bubble noises on one side and sizzling on the other. The oven door opens and plays music.
He is so amused by this. He loves his and looks for it after every nap!! Great buy, very durable, sturdy and safe for his age. I cannot say enough good things about this, all his other toys he losses interest fast this one keeps his attention for a while.

This toy definitely can't be beat for the money! I got this for my daughter for her first birthday, and she has loved it. I even love it while I'm cleaning up, because it's funny to see what things she has decided to stuff in the 'microwave,' 'stove,' and 'refrigerator.' :) Now (at 17 months), she even likes to get the little 'pan' that comes with it and pretend she is drinking whatever concoction she made. (Usually the egg ends up in the pan as well.) I just think it is a darling toy and would highly recommend it.
One annoying factor: I normally keep the sound turned off, because after about a month, it started playing music at really random times on its own . . . a little creepy (especially in the middle of the night) and definitely annoying!

My daughter received this kitchen set when she was only 4 months old. Even at such a young age, she loved it. At first, she played with the accessories - the phone, the frying pan, and especially the spatula and spoon. We took the spatula and spoon everywhere and it kept her entertained!
Once she could sit up, she loved playing with the whole set. This was one toy that could really hold her attention. Even now, over a year after she received it, she is still playing with it!
The kitchen set is just the right size for little ones who can just sit up or are just learning to walk. The shape sorter is great and the sounds are fun.
I would definitely reccomend this product!

My daughter has had this kitchen set for a few months now. She's almost two and plays with it more now that she's older and into pretend play and imitating mommy. She really likes the full sized play kitchens, but we don't have space for that so she makes due with this set for now. I'm not sure how long it's going to last though because there isn't any room for additional play food and accessories. Hopefully we'll get a year out of it before needing to upgrade. If you're seaching for an activity toy and are unsure what to get, I would recommend the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Home over the Discovery Sounds Kitchen. It's an extra $30 but it's bigger, has lots more activities and appeals to a wider age group.Customer Review: Daughter really enjoys this

My daughter loves to open and close the microwave, refridgerator door, and oven door. She also likes the sounds this makes. My older daughter had a different model about 5 years ago which she just adored. Both seem really good, although the prior one was a bit better...the door was sturdier and it came with shapes that were "ice cubes" - they would put them in the shape sorter door, then push a button and they would come out. This one, you just place the food shapes in the slots and they fall out. Also, there was a slot for the phone...this model it just comes with the phone, with no real "place" for it. ANYWAYS, all in all, this one is good and she enjoys it (just turned 1). Definitely good buy for 9mos+.
