Customer Review: great to teach your kids to have a sense of time with this visual timer

Being someone that has very little sense of time when I'm not watching the clock, I love this product! It not only keeps me from having to nag when we are getting ready but it also teaches the kids how long 5 minutes really is... not the 5 minutes I would give them before when I would get distracted and many times it would really be 10 or even 20. We have been on time for school much more often and I can set the timer and get myself ready instead of having to call out cues constantly to keep the kids on track. This helps the kids focus and keep on track and it leaves more time to relax and enjoy. This is a must have for any parent that is time challenged! We use it to get ready in the morning, at bedtime, at dinner (when needed... takes it from a frustrating 30 minute battle to a 12 minute quick meal knowing the food goes away when the timer goes off), for homework when needed, to have cleaning races and for timed workouts. We love this thing! Do wish it were a little easier to set but not a big problem... even I can figure it out with the directions. It makes getting ready a race against the clock which is just much more fun!
