Toys and Games Reviews of Learning Resources Pretend and Play School SetCustomer Review: Time to play school! Summary: 5 Stars
Our almost four year old wants to go to school very much -- and this toy has provided her an opportunity both to be the teacher and to be the student. While she's too young for things like the hall passes, she loves pointing at the calendar, writing on the board, ringing the bell, etc. There also seems to be a lot of lunch and recess time! As she gets older, I can see her using the items differently -- it should be something that grows with her. We very much like the fact it folds up into it's own carrying case. In short -- a great toy that allows kids to use their imagination and adapts as they do.
Customer Review: Pretend and Play School is a great item Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter received this for her 5th birthday. She likes to pretend she is a teacher. She didn't understand what the report cards, hall passes and grade sheets were for. However, a child a few years older would. She likes tracking the weather and circling the current day on the calendar and writing on the board. She loves the pointer, bell and stickers. It is a great toy for pretend play for a 4 or 5 year old. It doesn't seem that babyish, so I think a 6 or 7 year old (maybe even 8) would like to play with it. An older child would understand the maps, hall passes, grades and report cards.
Customer Review: Great Fun Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great toy for kids who like to play school. I bought it for my 4 year old granddaughter. Her 7 year old sister loves it just as much; maybe even more.
It has all the necessary components for your "classroom". The kids especially love the pointer and the bell. A suggestion: Laminate the paper goods...hall passes, etc. This allows you to use them over and over. Also the 7 year old wanted some new ones made that are the same as the ones she has at school. Easy to find clip art etc. online to make new passes , puzzles etc. A great educational toy!!
Customer Review: Good school set Summary: 4 Stars
My daughter saw a school set in another catalog and wanted it for Christmas. I found this one which was cheaper and I liked that you could fold it all up in its own carrying case. My daughter loves it. She is 6 1/2 and in 1st grade which is probably prime "playing school" time. If you have a child that plays school anyway, this is a great toy for them. I like the colorful papers and that it is compact. You do need to buy your own wet erase markers but I read that on the other reviews and just bought them ahead of time before I gave it to her.
Customer Review: Educational AND Fun! Summary: 5 Stars
I LOVE THIS TOY!!! I bought this as a charity gift for an adorable 8-year-old girl. She loves to play school, and for Christmas she wanted a toy where she could pretend to be a teacher. Well, I couldn't have possibly found a better gift. I loved seeing her face light up. This toy is so much fun for kids. They can play with their friends, or dolls and stuffed animals. If your child likes to play teacher, this toy is a must have. Honestly, I even thought it was fun! I hate to admit it, but I probably even played it with her and had fun!!!!
