My youngest 2 grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, played school together on occasion, which is the reason I bought this as a Christmas gift. I was amazed at the amount of time they spent playing school during winter break once they got this set. Even the 11 and 12 year olds got involved. The 5 year old practiced his letter formation which is something his teacher had requested. He saw it as a fun part of the game and improved noticeably. The 7 year old improved her story writing, the 11 year old practiced her reading aloud and the 12 year old "gym teachers" had everyone engaged in exercise and playing outdoors... Who knew all 5 grandkids would play and benefit from this set!!Customer Review: Wonderfully sprised

Like a few other things I have rated, My daughter picked this out of a catalog for Christmas. I ordered it, not knowing what to expect, so I was not expecting much! When it arrived, I was pleasantly suprised. It had a lot of extras and a lot of neat features. It was of very good quality and looks like it will hold up for quite a long time. Though I agree with some of the other reviews that the older kids might "get it" more with the report cards and other more advanced features (that a 4 year old might not understand) there is still plenty for a young presschool age child to enjoy. This was a Christmas gift to our 4 yr old daughter. She plays school every day, which usually consists of pretend reading to her stuffed animals. I loved this toy because it was so simple - no batteries or assembly - just a basic, good toy. She has played with it every day and has not grown tired of it yet. I would really recommend this for any 'play school' child. My only complaint would be the black dry erase marker leaves stains on the dry erase board. The marker could have been left on for a while or just a default in the product, although I haven't tried much to fix it yet and our daughter doesn't even notice.Customer Review: great toy!

My 5 year old daughter started kindergarten and she just loves school! So, for Christmas, she asked for a teacher set. I had no idea how I was going to accomplish that...so to amazon.com search I went. Love you amazon! This Play School Set came up and it looked perfect! It arrived quickly and I knew my daughter would love it! She has played with it almost every day since Christmas. She plays teacher with me. She plays teacher with her 7 year old sister. She plays teacher with her stuffed animals...it even finds its way to grandma's house! This was the one present that my daughter asked for this Christmas and it has seen a good deal of use. She should have the smarted stuffed animals in town! The tri-board set up is make of a heavy nylon fabric and should be sponge washable. The teaching manipulatives are laminated and there are a substantial number of accompanying pieces, but not so many that I have found them around the house. The entire set up folds neatly and has a carrying handle. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and delighted that I got it for half the price listed in various children's play specialty catalogs.
