This toy was a Christmas gift for my 5 yr. old granddaughter who is in kindergarten and loves drawing, coloring, making crafts, and playing school. She's always excited about learning new things. So, she has enjoyed playing school teacher, which includes ringing the school bell, drawing, filling out the report cards and learning to write the alphabet, which is illustrated above the marker board. The little clock above the board is helping her to learn how to tell time. This is a very educational toy that can teach little ones quite a lot. After reading other reviews, I did purchase a pack of dry markers for the board, because they are not included, and the crayons don't work as well on the board for writing or erasing. Also, the manufacturer's suggested age is 3+ years; however, I think a more appropriate age for this toy should be 4+ yrs. It seems a little advanced for a 3-year old. I like the way everything folds up into it's own carring case so she can easily carry it with her when she visits. I do recommend this toy for it's fun and educational value.Customer Review: Pretend and Play School Set

This toy was bought for my 6 yr old granddaughter. She immediately after opening began to setup and play with the toy. She loved the pointer and the bell and the map of the United States of America. She was so excited about the toy that she helped me write this review. The fold up case is convenient and easy for her to carry and store. The durability could be better, but it is alright for a child that is not to rough on toys. The minimum age for the product is a little low since younger children that are not in school will not understand the material and purpose of the toy. Since my granddaughter is in school, she can relate to the toy very well. She likes being in charge and making up instructions. There were no dry erase markers but I read other reviews and ordered some along with the toy so that she would have some. All in all I think this was a good purchase if not only because she actually plays with it.

Precious, precious item. My 9 year old daughter just loves it. It might seem young for a girl this age, but she loves to play school, and she loves having all the "tricky" things right there together in one package. A sweet toy. One problem: Seller did not include the markers in the package! List of items included clearly says "markers," but the markers did not make it into the package. Oh well. These are easy enough to replace. We were unable to get this package before Christmas as item was out of stock. Even when we ordered it after Christmas, our ship date was listed as some time in March. Surprise! Product arrived before January 1! Grandparents, for a young girl this would be a wonderful, fun gift. (Although stay under the age of 8 to be on the safe side--my daughter is young for her age.)Customer Review: Enjoyable

My son has always loved using an easel I got him to play teacher, he gets me and his stuffed toys all set up as his classroom. So this was a natural addition.
There were actually more pieces of the paper stuff, like hall passes, report cards, and such, than I had figured there would be, so they won't run out on him too soon.
The calendar reverses to a weathermap, the united states map reverses to a world map.
Clock doesn't let you adjust time that easily though, could've been done a little better.
Comes with pencils and crayons, I had expected some small dry erase markers would work best with the laminated things though I haven't tried them yet, may do that tomorrow.
But he loves giving me a hall pass to go to the bathroom.

PRETEND AND PLAY SCHOOL IS FOR CHILDREN 3 AND UP AND MY 8 AND 10 YEAR OLD CHILDREN JUST LOVE IT! IT IS ONE OF THE FEW "TOYS" THEY PLAY WITH FOR A LONG TIME. IT FOLDS UP NICELY AND NEATLY AND CAN BE STORED OUT OF THE WAY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN A STORE AND FOUND IT ON AMAZON AND JUST KNEW MY 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WOULD LOVE IT. IT ENCOURAGES ROLE-PLAYING ALONG WITH SHARING AND TAKING FAIR TURNS SO THAT EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE AT BEING THE TEACHER. THE POINTER IS WHAT MY DAUGHTER LIKES MOST AND THE SUPPLIES ARE COOL AND FUN AND NEATLY STORED IN THEIR OWN COMPARTMENTS. IT IS MADE OF HIGH QUALITY MATERIALS AND IS NOT SOMETHING THAT WILL RIP OR BREAK EASILY. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH IT!!
