Customer Review: Great Christmas Gift

I chose this as a "share" toy for my 3.5 and 5 yr old girls. Upon opening the gift there were squeals of delight and "lets play grocery ... you be mom. I'll make a list." (Ahh my life...)
I loved the fact that there is some money included.. though there is always the dollar store for more fake stuff if needed until the real thing comes along. The credit card is a bit useless and my girls didn't seem to care about this at all (YEAH!)They love the "PING" sound when the drawer opens and my oldest girl is loving the calculator aspect of the product. The keys are big, clear and make a satisfying click when you touch them. (IOW you need to touch the keys deliberately)
Each coin denomination has it's own section but unfortunately the notes only have 3 sections for 4 denominations ($1,$5,$10,$20)We doubled up with the $10 and $20.
There is so much scope for imaginative play with this product in all areas of social and educational ways. I think it will be a well used toy in conjunction with our play kitchen and housekeeping play area. There is much to learn especially in the area of math. It's never to early to learn what a budget is, even if your money is fake... maybe especially if your money is fake!
Truly, I can't comment on it's durability at this early stage. We only got it this Christmas...but the piece is substantial and I think it will take a lot to damage it. My girls play hard but not in a throw it around fashion.
So far I think it was a good choice and we are all happy.
