This bridge is worth every penny. I bought this bridge online (not from amazon.com) and the description said that it didn't come with ascending tracks, so I bought ascending tracks separately. Well, it turns out that the bridge actually *did* come with a pair of ascending tracks! Also, I bought a male-to-male connector separately because I thought that the 2 bridge pieces could not connect directly to one another, to form one long bridge - once I got the bridge, though, I found that you *can* actually connect the 2 bridge pieces together without using a separate connector..all you have to do is remove one of the supporting blocks (underneath the track) from one of the bridge ends. Each bridge has removable supporting blocks on both ends, so there's a ton of configurations you can come up with. If you have ascending track risers (which do *not* come with the bridge), you can connect the bridges with regular straight track <- if you do this, you can also put track underneath the connecting straight track so that trains can go underneath the bridge without any clearance problems. So many possibilities with this bridge... Not only that, but the bridge is very sturdy, very well-built. This bridge was such a great buy for me and my son!
