Customer Review: MUST HAVE for Take and Play/Take Along trains and sets

This pack is more than worth the money.
If you're thinking about getting into the Take & Play line, I recommend to start with a couple of these track packs before getting any actual playsets.
If you look at each individual playset (no matter how big or small), almost all include a very limited amount of track.
In my opinion, most of them alone have very limited playability.
Both playsets I have for my son would almost be worthless without extra track.
No only that, but without track packs, it is literally impossible to connect any of them together in ways that would make sense or be fun to play with.
It's very obvious that the tracks are the most fun for my son. The playsets are the parts that are "extra".
One of the GREAT things about these tracks is that you can make a layout that doesn't line up perfectly...
The connecting parts of the track pieces flex just enough to allow for this. So you won't drive yourself crazy trying to change the track layout over and over because one piece is barely too long or short.
This is difficult to explain accurately, but if you buy one of these packs and put together lots of different layouts, you'll definitely "get it" and appreciate it.
And don't worry, what I'm trying to describe doesn't break the pieces... I've set up multiple track designs now, and have not had any problems at all. And there aren't any "stress marks" on the plastic that would indicate otherwise. The track pieces are slightly flexible, but still very very sturdy.
I have bought my son a few of the larger playsets available for his upcoming birthday and Christmas, and I will probably buy 1-2 more of these extra track packs as well so they can all be connected and even more fun.
These truly are a MUST HAVE if you're wanting to get into the Take and Play line of engines and train cars.
