This tractor has really grown on me. I was not thrilled when my mother bought it as a gift for my son. I had already purchased a different ride on toy, and this one goes against our "no electronic sounds" rule.
The seat is very stable, but my short legged son could not reach the floor comfortably until he was about 15-17 months old. The sounds are not nearly as loud as most toys, so I don't find it nearly as objectionable. I get migraines that make me very ill from loud noises, and I don't react to this one. The little animals are cute and when he was too small to ride it, he liked playing with the animals, putting them in and out of the slot to make the sounds, and opening and closing the seat.
My son was developmentally delayed, and this toy was great for him to push in the grass. It is now an outside only toy, though we did have it indoors for about a year. All the other kids that come over to play like it too.
I like that there is more than one way to play with this ride on toy. Do not carry it by the pushing bar though. My husband and I each have dropped it down the stairs when the tractor separated from the handle. The good news is that it took the tumbles well, and still works.

My son got this as a gift on his first birthday. For months he pushed it around the house and played with the animals inside the seat. After a while, the animals went in the toy bin with all the other figurines we have, but he continued to "hide" other things in the seat. He also started to ride the toy in the house.
The next summer (he was nearly 2) we took the toy outside to use as a riding toy. He loves it! Since he doesn't know how to pedal a real bike yet, this was perfect for him to race around on.
He still uses the toy and he is nearly 2 and 1/2. He loves the horn and he is still small enough to be able to push himself around quickly. I would recommend this ride on toy to anyone looking for a good, durable toy for inside or outside use.

My son received this for his first birthday, as did his cousin. They both love the tractors, even today (and they are 2 and 3 now). They are a little big for them but still scoot around the yard and the house. I love that the seat flips up, and both boys love to hide toys in the opening. There is a play area under the seat and the animals make noises when they are put in the places - nice touch for kids learning about animals. My son realized a juice box fits on the back *there is an opening under the handle* and he totes one around the yard with him. He loves turning it upside down and "fixing" it. My grandson has played with this toy since he was four months old. He's now 16 months old and this is still one of his favorites. At first he just played with the animals. Then he started pulling up on the tractor and pushing it around. He eventually learned how to open and close the seat. Now he really enjoys putting various toys in the seat and taking them out again. He was so excited the first time he figured out how to climb on his tractor and ride it. He also loves to push the button and play the song and make the engine noise. I like that this toy is so versitle and can be played with inside and outside.

My son received this tractor as a gift for Christmas when he was 9 months old and loved it. At first he loved pushing it around. Then he loved being pushed around on it. Finally he was able to scoot around on it himself...he loves giving his stuffed animals "rides" on it too! The animals didn't hold his attention very long but he does love being able to put things in the seat compartment and take them around! The horn and ignition sounds are also a great feature, he loves them! Now purchasing one for my nephew's first birthday!
