We bought this for our son because he was interested in our tools when we would work on projects. After looking around, this looked like the ideal toy, and it's worked out great! The wrench and pliers actually open, the screwdriver works with the nails in the ruler. The belt sings and lights up. The reason I gave only 4 stars is that the hat is too big, and isn't lined. I've lined it myself, so it fits my son's head. Also the tool belt is a little loose when my son wears it...though he's on the thin side. My son will "fix" his toys, and can wear his tool belt for hours...it was a good purchase!Customer Review: Great tools but the hat doesn't stay on!

The tools in this set are very sturdy and have good detail. The belt is good too. There is a piece that plays part of the Bob the Builder theme song that is a big hit with my 2 year old. The only complaint I have is with the construction hat; my son loves it but whoever designed it did not think to put anything inside it to keep it secure on a childs head. It is literally just a round, plastic hat. It falls off constantly and that frustrates my son, my husband, and myself. I am looking to replace it with something more kid-friendly. Otherwise, great set of tools!Customer Review: I love it

I bought this for my two year old son, because I was going to make my own Bob the Builder costume for Halloween. I thought it would go great, because he could play with it after Halloween was over. He started playing with it before I even took it out of the box, and I ended up letting him play with it before Halloween. The tools and hardhat are very durable. I purchased this product for 2 of my grandsons for Christmas. They are both 3 years old. It was a 'hit' with them the moment they opened it. They both wore their belts and played with their new tools all day long. Very durable and they loved hearing 'Bob's voice. They wanted to wear the hat too but it was a bit woobly on their heads. I would highly recommend this toy and plan on purchasing it next year for my 1 year old grandson also.Customer Review: Great toy - lots of fun for 3 yr old

My son received this as a birthday gift and just loves it. The hat is relatively useless, but typical - he and his little brother wind up using it as a bowl, spinning it, loading it with toys, etc. He has another hard hat that has an insert so it fits well on his head. He loves the tools, uses them with some of his take-apart toys, and the Bob the Builder toolbelt is really cute too.
Definately a winner.
