My 7 month old daughter is strong enough to pull herself up, but she is not strong enough to activate the toy. I have to press fairly hard myself to get it to work. It is a wonderful concept and she loves to hear the rhymes, but it would be nice if she could do it herself. We also have trouble with one of the buttons. It occasionally starts at the end of the song instead of the beginning or says welcome instead of playing the music. I love all of our other Leap Frog products, but this is not one that I would recommend.Customer Review: Fun and pleasing for baby- difficult to squeeze for sound

My little girl loves this toy. At 6 months she finds it very interesting and likes all the different colors, shapes and sounds it can make. However, in order for her to listen to the sounds and songs, I have to press it. She cannot enjoy this part being in the crib by herself unless I am in the room able to press the buttons. Maybe when she is older... but HOW old will she have to be since it IS a crib toy? Otherwise, I love it and would still recommend it because it has many different options of play and length of play.Customer Review: Better for older babies/toddlers

My son received this when he was 6 months old, which is the beginning recommended age on the package. It is a nice toy and teaches colors and numbers. The classical music is nice too. It is more of a parent-child interactive toy. The buttons are kind of hard to push for younger children, which doesn't make it that good of a crib/stroller toy. My son does enjoy listening to the caterpillar sing songs and plays with the dangling toys on it. I hope when he gets a little older he'll be able to use it more.Customer Review: Great for the crib

My three month old just recieved this as a gift. We put it on his crib and he loves the classical music and all the entertaining. He is too small to activate it himself though.
The other review was right that you have to push or squeeze the sections pretty hard to activate the fun. Also, I wish the songs lasted much longer, because it ends quickly and its a pain to have to squeeze often, but its still worth it and an investment in your childs learning. Most of all, baby seems to like it alot.
Customer Review: Great toy but button 'area' too small

I have a 20 month old who loves this toy. She likes to play with it i the car. But, she gets frustrated with it because the button area is very small - it is not the entire number, but only the size of a small watch battery. So, she often resorts to switching the modes since those buttons are easy to find. I often end up pushing buttons for her (when I am not driving). Maybe it would be best for it to stay at home, where she can easily search for the button. Recomended for quiet time at home.
