Leap himself is the main character in this story, adding even more appeal to young readers as he explores the galaxy with his friends. As he goes on his quest, kids learn to comprehend the story's overall meaning, understand specific events, and practice their listening skills. In addition, this book introduces primary math skills--like numbers, counting, and basic geometric shapes. It even sneaks in a bit of deductive logic, emotional exploration, color recognition, object matching, and positions (up, down, in, between, etc.). Flip the book over and there's more fun: over 30 activities and 4 sing-along songs.
