I love the Tag system, and I think it is a great learning tool for our Kindergarten homeschool curriculum. My daughter is a bit of a grumpy reader unless you get her on a great day, so it is important for me to have a variety of items like workbooks, books, DVDs, games, etc. for her to propel through reading. She likes the TAG system, and it is a great tool, but until she gets through the frustration of learning to read using phonics and sounding out words, this will be a challenge. She wants to rush, but this system is not meant for that. It is a terrific tool, but your child will not read overnight and may not "love it" for what it is - it's not playing with Matchbox cars or a Leapster, it is reading, so be patient and use in only small doses until your child's reading really takes off.Customer Review: Book Great; Tag System not so interesting

I bought this book for my 5 year old's tag system. She's a huge fan of the princesses so I thought this book would pique her interest. The book is great but she doesn't read it much. But I don't think it's the book that's not keeping her interest; I think she's not interested in the tag system anymore.Customer Review: My daughter loves this!

My daughter is in kindergarten, and she absolutely loves this book! The story is entertaining and will keep your child reading for hours! The pen says each word as the child points to it. This has helped my daughter with her beginning comprehension!Customer Review: Awesome product

Although LeapFrog's Tag system is recommended for children 4-?, my 3 yr old had constantly been asking, "What does that say?" She received the Tag reader & this book for Christmas. I think I enjoy playing and "reading" the books more than she does!Customer Review: Not so interesting

This book is ok, if you like the Mermaid stories (I don't agree with the message of most disney princess stuff). This is probably my daughter's least favorite of her 5 Tag books. I think the others have more interesting story lines.
