We bought this and LeapFrog® Leapster® 2 Learning Game System - Green for our son for Christmas. He is 6 and a big fan of Star Wars. He is the youngest in his first grade class and has the interest to read but is developmentally a bit behind them. This game makes learning fun, because he has little idea that he is even playing a game. Instead he is helping the rebels defeat the evil empire.
It is set around episode 5 or 6. I have played it myself a little bit to see what it was like. They throw in small little games to assist with the main mission. These games build on vocabulary and reading skills without being in your face. Its quite ingenious and a credit to Leap Frog for the way it is subtly done. So much so he has hardly put it down since Christmas.
Pros:
>> A must for a child that is a fan of Star Wars
>> Has improved his reading skills already in just a few days.
>> Interesting dialog between characters
>> Cartoony look that is faithful to the movies
Cons:
<< Screen is sometimes difficult to see with faster motion
