Recently bought this for my 4-yr-old daughter who LOVES this game. She has yet to need my help to play it, but she does enjoy when I watch while she plays. The game has plenty of different activities, so she isn't bored with it. And she thought it was hilarious when she could buy a pair of underwear for puppy dress-up! The game is wonderful, keeping her entertained in a good way while she learns. I highly recommend this game.Customer Review: Fun for my 6-yr-old!

We gave this game to our 6-yr-old for the holidays, and she LOVES it! She wants to play it constantly, enjoying the fact that she can name her "pets" and take care of them herself. I don't think the game is much for a reading/math-type educational value, but from an independence/responsibility perspective, it seems to have made a real impression on her. We're very happy she is having fun with this game.Customer Review: Excellent learning

Santa brought this toy to my 5 year old daughter and she just loves it. It teaches her how to take care of an animal and all the fun things you can do with one. She plays this game for hours. Sometimes I have to check on her to make sure she is not asleep since she is so quiet. I would highly recommend this game for your little one. i have 3 boys, a 4 year old and twins that are 2/12. this game is wonderful for all of them, they all caught on right away. My 4 yr old is pretty advanced with his knowledge of letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and words, but has struggled with writing. the game where he walks his dog, tracing letters has made a big difference for him, he is so proud when he makes his letters.Customer Review: my daughter LOVES it

My daughter use her own birthday money to buy this game. she has used it continuously since then. she did misplace it for a few months, it fell in a crack in the car, and was no where to be found, until one day it surfaced again, once again she plays this game without fail over all the other leapster games she has. she loves the interaction and taking care of the "pet"
