Toys and Games Reviews of LeapFrog Leapster L-Max Numbers on the Run

Customer Review: Love this L-Max game
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this for my 3 and a half year old daughter. After only a couple of days she can play the game (similar to Mario Bros) where you move the "zero" through mazes up, down, across and yes she can even jump over stuff. I am amazed how she is coming along with writing her numbers too. It does require her to write them well before it will except it. Sometimes she gets frustrated and I put my hand over hers and help write the number but usually after a few tries she does it independently. This game is similar to Letters on the Loose. I love them both!!

Customer Review: Good learning tool for preschoolers
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this game for my daughter who just turned 5 and got the L-Max for Christmas. She loves playing this game, and in addition to helping her master number recognition, this game helps her motor skills and hand/eye coordination. My daughter (who is very active) will sit quietly and play this game for long stretches at a time, allowing me to finish whatever project I'm working on. I feel good knowing she's learning and not just being babysat by technology. This was a really good purchase for my family.

Customer Review: Educational and Fun!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 5 year old son got a Leapster L-Max and this game, "Numbers on the Run: Counting on Zero" for his birthday. He's had the game for about 2 weeks and it is by far his favorite toy. We homeschool and I find this game to be a wonderful supplement to the math curriculum we're using! This game has helped my son to better understand the concept of zero. It has also given him extra practice writing numbers, counting, and identifying "more than" and "fewer than." Highly recommended!

Customer Review: My 3yr old loves it
Summary: 5 Stars

Our 3 yr old son is really good with electronics so we got him the leapster a bit early with this game. He picked up on it so fast and learned quite a bit from "numbers on the run". He is now about to turn 4 and still asks to play it. Some of it is for older kids so he can't do everything but it leaves room for growing and learning. This is a very cute game with "zero" running around catching "quidgets" and solving number problems as he goes. We definitely recommend this game!

Customer Review: Great fun & education for my 5 year old!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my 5-year old daughter's favorite Leapster game! Great fun for her, and it has really improved her math abilities. The LMAX function allowing us to hook it to the TV when at home makes it better for educational interaction with us (mom & dad). Also, it's really helpful keeping her occupied in restaurants and during car rides; giving mom & dad some much needed peace (& we don't feel too bad b/c she is getting an educational benefit out of it!).
