My daughter went crazy for this in the store and her fascination wore off as soon as it was home and out of the box. I left it in her playard and a few days later caught her playing with it. It has now become one of her favorites. The buttons are easy to push and very big and bright. Baby Tad sings some favorie songs including The Itsy Bitsy Spider and If you're happy and you know it which are our two faves to sing at home. He blows kisses and proclaims his love for you when his cheek is touched and names different clors and shapes. A shape lights up on his chest and if baby presses that one is rewarded with praise. My daughter has just turned 1 and still enjoys Baby TAd. She doesn't press the correct buttons when prompted but enjoys hearing him and playing along with the songs. I've even caught her resting on him as though he's a pillow. We've had it about 4 months now and the batteries are still going strong. I wasn't going to get this but in the end am very glad I did.Customer Review: Tad became baby's new best friend!

I bought this for my son when he was 5 months old and he loved it. Tad was one of his favorite dolls. He loved watching the shpes and colors light up during songs sung by Tad. He also loved listening to the famous tune that Tad sang to him. Not only does this plushie sign famous tune we all know and light up which intrigues little one but it teaches little ones as they get older their shapes and colors by asking them to push the button of a specific shape or color. One of the other good features about this doll is that it also plays lullabye music for whatever minutes you program it for. At night when my son owuld sleep in his crib or bassinet I would put Tad at the bottom of his feet and program it for a specific number of minutes to play lullabye music to help him fall asleep faster. My son loved this doll and once he grew older loved the next stage of Tad which counts and speaks in Spanish.
This doll is a MUST HAVE for any infant or toddler.

Baby Tad was one of the first stuffed toys my son received. I would keep it in his crib with him. The night-time sleep music was the only way he would fall asleep at night. The songs are much more soothing than a standard mobile and lasts longer. I could set how long I wanted it to play (up to five minutes) which was great so I wouldnt have to worry about going back in and turning it off without waking my son. Or worse, forgetting that it's on and having to change the batteries every morning.
When he got a little bigger, he loved pushing the buttons and singing along with the songs. After about seven months, the batteries finally started to give out. Pretty good life span! Unfortunately, it made Baby Tad sound like he was very sick and it scared my son. I had to hide the toy until I was able to get some new batteries.
Overall, this is a wonderful toy for a baby. It can even last into the toddler years by teaching colors and shapes.

Completely irresistable!!! He is the cutest little guy with a tiny "baby" voice! This is great for young ones at 6 or 9 months to 3 years (or maybe beyond)! He is very soft and cuddly. I bought him for our 19 month old Grandson. He loves the colored blinking lights in the shape of a star, square, circle, triangle, diamond and heart. When you push a flashing button, Baby Tad sings or says something like "peekaboo" or "this is a green square". There is a lip print on his cheek. When you push it, Baby Tad says "give me a hug". Baby Tad sings in his cute "baby" voice six favorite children's songs like Itsy Bitsy Spider, Mary Had a Little Lamb, If You are Happy Clap Your Hands. He will keep kids learning and having fun for hours! And there is a button to turn him OFF; a blessing for parents! A great baby shower gift! I am giving the Spanish version Baby Tad to a billingual friend as a baby shower gift!Customer Review: He loves his Baby Tad!

We got Baby Tad as a baby shower gift. He is now 15 months old, and Baby Tad is still his best friend. The best thing for us is the nite-nite countdown we set when we put him to bed. You can set it to play calming music for 1-6 minutes, just by squeezing his hand for each minute. Then Baby Tad is ready for him as soon as he wakes up! He has a daytime feature with color & shape recognition games and faster songs. Our son will wake up and play with Tad for about an hour before calling for us! Baby Tad also has an adorable little kiss on his face that once pressed, you hear a kissing noise and Baby Tad says "I love you". Our son will give him a big hug and kiss Tad right back! I really can't say enough about how much we love this toy, (obviously!). Buy this for your baby and you will thank yourself for years. We plan to buy the Read and Sing Tad for his second birthday. Thank you Leap Frog!
