Toys and Games Reviews of LeapFrog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush

Customer Review: so great I bought two
Summary: 5 Stars

Two of my grandsons are only one month apart so when I was shopping for a birthday gift for Mason, I found Baby Tad and thought it was so cute..just had to have it! After getting it home,my husband and I had to play with it of course..we fell in love with how cute it sounded, I especially love the kiss. The next day I went back to Target to get another Baby Tad to send Kaii..it was not easy getting them away from popaw, but he finally let go so I could get it packed and on it's way. Both boys love Baby Tad, they love to cuddle him and give him kisses back..it's a great toy, but a greater comforting buddy I think. I'm very glad I chose to bring him home with me and give him a home where he is very loved..soon I will be getting another Baby Tad for my grand nephew due in October.

Customer Review: Excellent for Bedtime
Summary: 4 Stars

My son 10 months, got this for christmas, we like the bedtime feature, you can set it to play music for up to 6 mins. It doesn't lock all of the other features out though, if he hits the other hand while in bedtime mode, it will switch to daytime and start talking, I wish they would have made bedtime with a lockout feature of all other modes, I don't think the buttons on his belly work while in bedtime mode though. I also like the fact that you can turn the volume down. He doesn't play with it much during the day because we usually keep it in his crib. I wish it did more than say shapes when you pushed the buttons on his stomach. The kiss it makes when you push the lips on his cheeks is really cute, it gives a kiss and say's I love you. Overall this is a really cute toy

Customer Review: Cute, but not a favorite
Summary: 3 Stars

We received this toy as a Christmas gift when my daughter was 4 months old. She is now 10 months and is still not engaged by this toy. She loves to push buttons on other toys, the phone, the TV remote, the TV...ANYTHING!! I think the smooth buttons on this toy have her stumped. I have shown her how and encouraged her to push the flashing spot to hear another song, but Tad always says "bye-bye" and the buttons stop flashing before she can push one.
It's cute, and we still play with it (Mommy pushes the buttons) to hear the songs, but she doesn't pick it out on her own.
She much prefers her Fridge Farm Magnetic Set by Leapfrog. I think that is a more enjoyable toy that will grow with her. Skip Baby Tad unless you need the soft night-time music.

Customer Review: Adorable Doll with Cute Songs.
Summary: 3 Stars

My daughter first saw the Baby Tad doll at 6 months but wasn't very interested until recently (9 months). She watches the lights flicker when we turn the lights off (it has a 1-6 minute countdown for bedtime with non-lyrical songs). Our daughter likes hearing popular songs like "Twinkle Twinkle," "Doggie in the Window," "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "Hickory Dickory Doc," "Baa Baa Black Sheep," and "If You're Happy and You Know It." The songs are adorable with a cute voice which is very clear. Baby Tad can offer kisses to your child or encourage them to play along by flashing a light and if they select the lighted symbol, the song associated with the symbol will play. Very cute and highly recommended!

Customer Review: A Baby For A Baby
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought the Baby Tad for my 5 1/2 month old daughter Breathe. I initially thought that it might be a little big for her but the moment she first heard it, she loved it. Every time Baby Tad starts talking or singing to her, she starts smiling and kicking. Sometimes she'll even move her head way back and start humming-like. The shapes on his chest light up and move around from shape to shape: Breathe follows the lights, fascinated and awed. She can't hold it by herself yet but she *loves* this toy. A baby for a baby, I guess ;). Plus, it's educational: it teaches shapes and colors, and sings too - *and* it turns itself off by saying "bye bye" which saves the battery -- how much more could you ask for? Breathe (my daughter) and I both highly recommend it!
