My daughter received this at a shower at 3 months old. At the time she did not pay much attention to it. After she turned 1, she began to interact with him more and by 2, he could put her to sleep with the nighttime songs (they can last up to 6 minutes). She is still using Tad to put herself to sleep at 4! After we say goodnight, she sets Tad for 6 minute increments until she is finally asleep. Last night she was asleep during his first 6 minutes of songs. She just loves Tad. We use rechargeable batteries but they last a long time. He has been a lifesaver for a little girl who sometimes has trouble relaxing. A wonderful toy, his volume can be adjusted and we have really enjoyed him.
