This is a great toy, if you allow guns as toys. It shoots little foamy balls, that don't hurt (unless operated by an adult) and won't break stuff in the house. The operation of the gun is a great physics lesson, and definitely takes some coordination, which is great because the kid is motivated to "make it work".

My only complaint is that the ammo isn't the same size as available extra Nerf ammo and cannot be ordered separately from the gun. This is our second gun purchase, but we bought it for the ammo, because they little green balls tend to get "lost" in the house.
