Purchased this for an after school program. The children love it. It holds their attention. The instruction booklet allows them to build several different things so they don't become frustrated if their own 'designs' don't work.I would recommend this for hours of fun. Like any Lego product it has scads of teeny pieces--the only challenge to this toy is keeping track of all of them. Our 4 year old son received this for Christmas this year and hasn't put them down. I love watching him play with the set and build new things. He can follow the directions to some of the designs fairly easily, but the more complex ones require a little help from Mom and Dad. The set comes with a small lego building pad, but I recommend buying the bigger one. Overall, it is a wonderful Lego starter set. He can't wait to buy more!Customer Review: Fun Toy

My sons loves to build anything. He particularly loves this set as it has transportation vehicles and pieces that can be used for a variety of building options. There is one drawback; if you want to build more than one car or need multiple pieces for several different buildings there are not enough duplicate pieces to build multiple structures. You would need to buy another set to complete the sets that the instructions suggest.Customer Review: mom

Where are the lego????The nice bin came but 400 pieces only fill up the bin 1/4 full. My children asked where are the rest of the pieces? I am questioning lego strategy with marketing. I see lego as a creative tool I shopped for ever and finially went on line to find a box of plain lego from which my children can decide what to create. Buying online from Canada ment roughly $55 in shipping and duty for a 1/4 full box. Not happy.Customer Review: Good Time pass for kids

It takes some time for kids with less than 4 year to start on with this... Once got used to experimenting with this... they will love this and its a lot of time pass with education also.
Will definitely recommend these products as buying other toys like cars or dolls are just time pass for few minutes... but these kind of toys will give lot of thinking power and will engage kids for long time...
