Customer Review: Very Disappointed

I was excited for this product to arrive as my grand children were bored with the older Lego set they have been playing with. But I was so disappointed when I opened this box to find that the pieces are very small. In fact, all of the pieces emptied out in the large container that shipped with the product, barely cover the bottom of the container. Had I known these pieces were so small, I would not have ordered it. This is definately not worth the money (it should have sold for under $20...I'm sure that the product only cost Lego $3 to manufacture). My son loves this set, at 3 he just covered the square with one level, I don't think he got building up until after I showed him multiple times, but now at just over 4 he is building intricate things. The only reason I give this a 4 stars overall, is because I wanted to use the bucket to store ALL of his Legos in (the box only comes about 1/3 full at the most), but the larger green board for building on wouldn't fit, and the board it comes with is tiny, inhibiting big creative projects. Otherwise an awesome toy that brings out the kid in me as well when I play with my son.Customer Review: favorite childhood past-time

When I was younger, I remember maticulously building my houses and vehicles. Now with this, I can retrace my steps. My only real dissapointment is that there aren't more pieces in the set. It does come with one set of wheels, two windows and a door, and the "theme" revolves around a vehicle mechanic lego man, so you get a little wrench and oil can etc that the lego man can hold.
As for craftmanship, I noted that some of the legos wouldn't join without a bit of force, but I'm sure they'll be easier to assemble after they've been broken in.

I purchased this item for my nearly 5 year old nephew and it has been a wonderful purchase. My 8 yr old son has the same set and he plays with them nearly daily. They are a great addition to his many other sets. My nephew is just getting in to Legos but it old enough to handle the smaller size blocks. He is technically oriented - putting things together and taking them apart - so these are great for him. Our pediatrician recommends the Legos for fine motor skills, problem solving skills, and a better alternative to playing too many video games.Customer Review: Great Product!

We bought this for our 5, almost 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She has spent hours playing with it in the last few days. The book has lots of ideas and she has built most of those on her own. We bought it on Black Friday for half price so it was a great deal also. Just beware, the Lego's are small (some VERY small) and only fill about 1/4 of the box which we knew from previous Lego box purchases. It's good that the box is bigger though so you can put completed projects away without having to break everything apart to fit it in the box.
