Hello I'm a 22 year old who has autism & still very much enjoy's building things out of lego's.
This my review on the big box of lego's.
Okay see when I moved a couple of times I lost quite a few lego's & wanted to still catch up on building with lego's so after I got some free time I bought this at Walmart for thirty dollars 405 peices huhh... I put lego's into the box it only covers the bottom of the box one layer well wal
mart has the smaller boxes that hold 221 peices for 12 buck's I'm buying 4 small boxes double the lego's plus I'm paying less. Work's for me. My best advice is to buy the smaller container's in quanity there's more lego's & at a cheaper price.

I got this Lego set for my seven year old, who requested Legos for Christmas. This is his first set. When I asked him what was his favorite gift for Christmas, he said " my Legos." He began playing with it and has been building with it ever since. My older son, who is 12 joins him all the time, and the build together. It is a great set as it comes with many pieces. There are small building plates, but I would recommend getting larger building plates as we have carpet. Overall I am very happy with Legos. It allows children to be creative, and if there is more than one child, it allows for cooperate play. It also takes the emphasis off TV and video game. This a great value, the price was great. This set is great to start your child's "big boy" (or girl) Lego collection. All the basic pieces are here, plus you get wheels and windows and such, and a tiny person to enjoy all the wonderful creations. Also, the green flat plate provides an easy foundation for beginning houses and sundry construction attempts. My five, seven and ten year-olds all play with this together; show me any other toy that those ages can all play with contentedly! In addition, these pieces fit on top of the previous ages' mid-sized Legos, so you can add to what you already have. I also like that the box leaves plenty of room (at least half, maybe?) to add your subsequent smaller Lego purchases. The best starter set I have seen.Customer Review: Great Set for Diverse Building

We bought this set for my 4 year old son for his birthday and it was/is an immediate hit with him and his 7 year old sister. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is more of a starter set than an ultimate set, but if you read the product review you will see that at 400 pieces it is not the largest (or most expensive) set. The tub is terrific for storage and is big enough to hold constructed pieces between building sessions.
We'll be adding more sets with specialized pieces, building plates, etc. But this kit does have lots of options for building houses, cars, helicopters, airplanes animals etc. Given that and compared to some of the other sets, this is actually a pretty good bargain for $25.

This is such a fabulous starter set for Legos. It has all the right "boy" parts in it including airplane propellers, race car steering wheels, etc. This set is very well loved in this house and has built everything from race tracks to helicopters. Great, great fun and provides HOURS of entertainment. If you are getting these for a true Lego afficionado, be sure to pick up a couple of them. It has quite a few pieces but to truly build a bunch of stuff, you'll need more. Wait for a sale, however, Easter and Christmas usually provides a great sale at the giant toystore with an r in the name. Watch Amazon too - they knock ten bucks off the price every now and then! Highly, highly recommend!
