It took me about 3 hours to assemble this bad boy, but that includes some re-work to fix mistakes. I got in a hurry and put some things in backwards. My biggest mistake was in the wing assembly, which I attached while the mechanism was in the contracted position. Fortunately, I figured out how to fix it without too much hassle. I agree with other reviewers that the wing attachment pegs are too weak to securely hold the weight of the wings. This makes the assembled ship almost too delicate to play with. My son, a twelve year old LEGO fanatic, loves the V-19 Torrent and other Star Wars LEGO products in general. He loves the higher degree of detail and greater assembly difficulty, as he's very engineering design oriented. After the initial push to assemble and use the original design, he deconstructs the toy and uses all the unique parts in his own designs.
This particular design, the V-19 Torrent, is really pretty cool. I highly recommend it for those that have LEGO building experience and appreciate the extra skill required to build it.

the V-19 Torrent was very tricky to build because all the wings and the feet work together and every piece must be put on right. Don't try to mod any of this ship because it won't work. This ship is much bigger that in all the pictures so beware.

this ship is a great addition to any army and looks really nice, if you are a good builder then go for it

I got this for my 7-year-old son for Christmas. He was very excited and started putting it together right away. His excitement faded when he had some trouble putting it together. With some adult help he got it built and hasn't taken it apart. He loves it! He flys it around the house and makes it interact with his other Staw Wars Lego sets. The wings move to reconfigure into different positions. And the moveable cockpit is very cool. He said next time he tries to build it it will be easier because he has seen the end result.Customer Review: A Big Disappointment

I bought this lego feeling it would be fun and cool to transform the wings. But let me tell you the wings fall apart really easily and it does NOT transform in its three positions. I would say it is the worst lego in the clone lego series. The others are really easy and fun to build including the lego gunship and the ATTE. No wonder Amazon is selling it 42% of its original price. It is a good lego to show without touching. But if your in its recommended age group do not buy it!
