bought this set for my son a few days ago, hes 9 and a wiz at putting legos together, he is into collecting the starwars collection, well out of 6 different sets he has received so far this was the worse, it keeps falling apart, he can pick it up or play with it or it falls apart, my suggestion to him was we take it back for something else, he refuses, even though i see he is really frustrated with it, i would not recommend this set to anyone, all you will have is a frustrated child as well as yourself!Customer Review: Only so-so

I rate toys for my 10 year old on the item's abilty to captivate his attention and hold it. My son, who loves Lego toys, was not really impresssed by this set, and as a result, hasn't done much with it for the past month since he's had to. My child's reaction may not be yours, but I think that the toy doesn't really connect well emotionally with the die-hard Star Wars/Lego fans like my son. By contrast, he has loved the other Lego Star Wars kits that I've bought him in the past. Just don't know....Customer Review: Unimpressed.

My 5 year-old is just getting into Legos. He got two of these moderately expensive ($[...]) StarWars Lego sets for Christmas. I thought he would take a month or more to assemble them. He had them both done in a matter of days. The AT AP walker has held up, and is still on a shelf in his room, but this MagnaGuard continues to break apart. It's just not that sturdy, and is already back in pieces in a bin in his room. I just don't think it's worth the money.Customer Review: I like it but it's easily breakable, hard to keep together

I got to say I was thrilled to get this toy, it nearly took the entire day to build and half the night trying to make it stay in its place. But the design is realy good and when you put the droid in the the ship the droid kind of flicks and gets realy annoying and they only put the cool thing in the back also its kinda not fun because it breaks every time I try to play with it, but it's a realy cool toy.Customer Review: Great toy!

I bought this toy for my grandson's birthday. He turned thirteen and this was his greatest desire. When he opened it, his eyes got as big as saucers and he began going into the greatest detail about what this toy would do - I didn't understand it, all I know is that it made him the happiest kid in the world for quite some time. He and his Dad play with it together. Family gift.
