Customer Review: the force is with Anikin's Lego figher

My 6 year old son had a great time putting this together after getting it for Christmas. He did the whole thing by himself in the morning while I slept in. That gets bonus points from me. The sense of achievement he got from finishing it cannot be purchased. The only downside on this was the price I paid...I did not realize how much more expensive it was at Amazon than in retail stores (I paid more than twice as much as I should have). This is a very fun toy, it is good if you want to start your Lego Star War's collection, because it has two important figures in it. Here's a list of the pro's and con's :
Pro's :
1. The star fighter has a mechanism that can launch R2 out of his socket.
2. Landing gear can move
3. You can fit Anakin and the light saber in the cockpit
4. flick fire missiles
Con's :
1. not very durable
2. can lose Anakin's light saber very easily

My son recently recieved this for a birthday present. He put it together by himself (he's 7). You get an Anakin Skywalker and an R2D2 plus the ship. The ship is very nicely designed and holds up to some serious battle attacks in our living room.
This set does look like it should be a pricier model. This is a very fun lego set - easy to put together, durable, two lego dudes, highly sought after star wars vehicle.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas because he loves Star Wars. Unlike the other ones that he has bought in the past this one was reasonably priced and looked great when he put it together. I like how you move R2D2 back and a piece of lego shoots out. I am not into Star Wars but I am really glad that I bought it for him. I would recommend this for anyone who is into Star Wars.Customer Review: a very good set

I never watched The Clone Wars, but this particular model from that cartoon got my attention, simply because it is almost identical to another set I always wanted(but it is too expensive). The ship looks very cool, it doesn't feel like falling apart and it is just the right size for its price. Simply put it-it is a great set for a Lego Star Wars enthusiast(like me)(laughs).
