These Lego sets are a lot of fun. My husband and son have spent many hours sitting in the floor playing, creating and imagining. The only negative is that my son pulls apart everything we put together and he does it over and over and over. That gets a little exhausting; however, I'm just glad that we've found some toys that he'll play with for a long period of time. I've set it up in our family room and he plays with it while I cook dinner.
We also have the Spencer, Gordon and Harold sets. It's really fun when you put them all together. All in all, I highly recommend this product if you have a Thomas fan at home!

This lego set is great for toddlers/preschoolers. Considering the high price of Thomas the train toys, I think this is actually worth its price. We got it for our 3-yr-old son who loves Thomas and loves playing with the duplo legos. We also got the large box of duplo legos, which was really necessary to give him a chance to really get creative. He makes up some interesting trains, but I think it's only because he has so many legos to work with. So if this is your child's only duplo legos, you might not be as satisfied with the 'playing' results unless you purchase a small box of duplos to go with it.Customer Review: the BEST toy EVER for my 2-year-old son

My 2-year-old has spent at least 45-60 minutes a day playing with this, from ages 23-28 months. Got it as a Christmas gift when he was 15 months, but he was too young then, so we put it away.
Once he started playing with it, we quickly bought (or suggested as a 2-year b-day gift) the Percy, Toby and James sets. OMG, he LOVES it, I would've paid three times what it cost if I could've ever predicted how much time he spends with it. Practically, we could throw out the rest of his toys and he wouldn't notice. With all the sets we have now, there is enough track...but more would be nice, too.

This is the most wonderful thing ever!! My 2 yr old son just adores it, he sits and plays with it for hours.. He doesn't yet grasp how to put the pieces(i.e. train. station, etc.) but he loves taking the track apart and putting it back together!! And that is very good since my 1 yr old daughter doesn't think it belongs together! He is putting it back together as fast as she is breaking it! (very durable as well!) After reading some other reviews I thought there was goingo tbe virtually no track to play on, but there was much more thenm I was expecting! It is a great toy and we all love it!Customer Review: Not for younger kids

I got this toy for my 18 month old, who loves trains and blocks. However, I found, much to my chagrin, that she insisted on disassembling the various lego items (light, tunnel, station, trains....). So, we could never really put the set together for more than 5 minutes. Assembling the elements also required following the directions, so it wasn't really fun for her to play with. I think this would be a great toy for a slightly older child, and in fact we gave ours to a friend who is just over 2.
