Customer Review: GREAT KIDS TOY!!!

My daughter was only 10 months old (I know, that is supposedly too young for this toy), but I convinced my wife that we should get her these blocks for Christmas anyway. My daughter loves to dump them out of the container onto our wood floor and hear the noise of them tumbling to the ground. I build things and she takes them from me and tears them apart. It is a great toy to teach kids about sharing, building, imagination, and so many other wonderful qualities! My wife loves these because they are something that my daughter and I can do together after I get home from work and they have a nice storage container to keep all of the pieces together.
I would definately recommend this product!

My son received this Lego Duplo set for his first birthday and he plays with it everyday! At first he just liked to knock down whatever I created with the blocks, but now at 15 months he can build too! The blocks are very colorful and sturdy. But this set is fairly small. We are purchasing the Deluxe set for Christmas to expand our building options- I might suggest starting with the bigger set and skipping this one!
A small complaint is that the lid is too hard for my son to open on his own, so we don't usually close it tight. Although, this could be a good feature if you needed to be sure the lid stayed on during travel or other circumstances.

Nice, big blocks for toddler hands to grip and manipulate. No choking hazard here. This non-gendered toy encourages imaginative play and develops fine motor skills. The storage box is super-sturdy and closes tight so your little one can't get into it at will. Not that you'd want to leave him/her alone with this because it's fun for you, too. We even sort the blocks by shape and color which are side benefits. No matter how good a video may be, active play is what kids need most of all. Moreover, they can graduate to regular LEGOs when they are somewhat older and even much older than that. A timeless, basic toy.Customer Review: Where are all the block?

Of course this is a great quality made product, because it is legos. We got this for our 18 month old daughter as a gift for Christmas. I was kind of disappointed to find that there wasn't that many blocks in the box. She wont be able to do that much building.
I feel like this product is over-priced for the number of blocks that you get in the set. I thought it was going to be heavy as well. When it was delivered it was the lightest thing there.
I would not recommend this set for the price. I would recommend a person to get a bigger set, I'm sure there available for a better value.

This is a nice starter lego set for the young toddler graduating from MegaBlocks. I think it would be overpriced if it just included basic legos, but it includes other pieces such as animals/flowers, etc., so it's a good set to build on. Plus, I think a little toddler would be overwhelmed by a bigger lego set at this point, so the number of blocks is manageable and the oversize bucket makes it easy for them to collect the Legos and take them out. Cute pieces, good sizes, easy for toddlers to put together and take apart. Overall I think a good buy.
