We bought these to replace a cheap knock-off set of Lego-like bricks. The difference has been amazing. These are solid and durable, with enough variety to allow for all kinds of things to be built. This is by far our 2 and 1/2 year-old's favorite toy. We are constantly impressed by the imagination and creativity which they allow him to express. The durability of these toys is such that we expect them to last for a great many years to come, even with rough treatment. I have always been a Lego fan and our son does have a smaller-piece Lego set as well - which he enjoys - but these are easier to clean up, faster for him to build with and safer to leave out with infants around. If I had to complain about some aspect of these, it would only be the difficulty of opening the container they came in, which will challenge adults without can-openers for fingers and may be impossible for the very young.

I got this for my daughter as part of the big red guy gifts for Christmas and she seems to enjoy it but it is not her favorite toy. She is having a hard time trying to put the legos together on her own which is frustrating her. She does not have a problem dumping the whole box out on the floor and breaking your creation apart though. I think it's a great way to help learn colors and I'm sure within a couple of weeks she will have them figured out. I love it that as a 13 month old she can play with Legos and be safe. They are large enough that I do not feel like she is going to be able to swallow one and start choking on it. Now if they had the same set in pink princessy colors that would be awesome.Customer Review: DEFINITE TODDLER PLEASER!!!

I bought this for my (2 yr. old) Grandaughter's birthday as an addition to "Ultimate Lego Duplo Building Set" & "Dora's Backyard Surprise". She absolutely loves the set & has played with it for hours.....everyday, since her birthday in February.
It's wonderful to watch the progress of building skills & observe the idea's of the little ones working with utilizing color, strategy & weight.
This is a definite "need to buy" item if you are purchasing the "ULTIMATE LEGO DUPLO SET". Both sets will fit in the Ultimate Lego Duplo Hardcase & are excellent additions to other sets like......Dora's Backyard Surprise.
I think you & your little one will find this item worth the $$.

These would be great for kids age 1 1/2 to 2 1/2, but I bought these for my 3 1/2 year old son who has been asking me for some Lego's and I was disappointed when I opened the box. No where in the product description does it tell you these are not standard size normal Lego's. I bought this set to add on to some other Lego sets I also bought and when I opened the box I see these are useless for this purpose. These are not compatible with the standard Lego's we've all come to know, they are like 4 times the size of basic Lego's. Something in the product description should have specified this! Would it be that hard to add into the product description that these are LARGE Lego's?Customer Review: Duplo Lego Blocks for our grandson.

Our 3-1/2 year old grandson received these blocks as a Christmas gift from us. With all the other toys stacked around, he spent most of his time building castles and towers with the Lego blocks. One of the few interactive toys he received. He enjoyed taking them apart and starting with a new project when he got bored. They were easy enough for our 3 year old to put together, but still held firmly. We also picked up sets of Lego "people" and "animals" with feet that connected to the blocks.
One of the best toys around as it keeps kids occupied for long periods of time and helps build their skills of design and construction.
