Toys and Games Reviews of LEGO Bionicle Cendox V1 (8992)Customer Review: Bionicle Snowmobile for $10 = Good buy! Summary: 4 Stars
Ok this one will be quick.
The rider is ok. Off the vehicle he looks REALLY goofy, like a chimp with a bike helmet. Leave him on.
The blades on the front end "float." This isn't a bad thing, they just aren't fixed in place to the handlebars.
The rear tread rolls really well. Smooth.
I parted my bike out already. The swords on the front were BEGGING to be put in another Bionicle's hands (now they are in the dogs' claws from the Baranus/Chariot+2-headed dog set). The engine pieces are all great for other figures as jetpacks (like Bulk in Bulk vs Vapor Hero Factory set) or weapons (like Rotor's right arm from HF as well). The rear engine pieces are also good for improvised builds.
The BRIGHT yellow frame pieces are hard to mix with other sets, but overall there are bunch of fun kit pieces to use off this thing (mostly silver or black). At $10 I'd scooped up mine and have been happy with the pieces I took from it.
***I really liked the helmet (which is reversible for a different look if you already have this helmet) and instead used it on the Thornatus pilot instead.***
Description of LEGO Bionicle Cendox V1 (8992)Built to race across the sand into battle; the Cendox V1 has rear tracks; front blades and powerful boosters to handle the dunes. An Arena winner; the Cendox V1 is armed with a spiky Thornax launcher and piloted by Crotesius; the Agori pilot. To be able to understand why LEGO has been successful for so long; just look to the name. LEGO originally got its name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen by combining the Danish words "Leg Got" that means "play well" and later realized that the word LEGO in Latin translates to "I put together." The LEGO set became a standard of creative play for children around the world; unlocking the creativity to build vehicles; buildings; cities and more. Most historians point to the invention of the wheel as a major turning point in world history. The invention of the LEGO wheel had the same monumental effect in the history of LEGO; making it possible to create cars; trucks and eventually the LEGO train building set that is one of the most successful LEGO sets of all time. LEGO innovation continues to this day with product lines like DUPLO that was created in 1969 for smaller hands and still thrives. Movie tie-ins; such as LEGO Star Wars; LEGO Indiana Jones Adventures and LEGO SpongeBob are some of the most popular sets. The Sci-Fi LEGO Bionicle sets have a huge following but the number one selling LEGO set of all time is The LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Invention System. Over 1 million of these sets were sold around the world. In 2009 LEGO introduces the next generation LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0! LEGO currently produces about 20 billion LEGO bricks a year and has sold over 400 billion LEGOs in their history -- enough for every person on the planet to have over 60 LEGOs each!
