Customer Review: Nuparu is a must buy for any Bionicle fan!
Summary: 4 Stars
Nuparu is a superb toy and has several special features.
First of all, you might notice the laser drill he's carrying. When you press the black knob, it flashes as a red strobe light. Also, it can be used for sword fights with other Bionicle toys.
Next, you might notice his Zamor Sphere launcher. This device fires small colorful balls. The ones included with Nuparu are yellow, but sometimes partially red. Practice your aim by setting up Bionicle villains (not included) as targets and fire away!
Nuparu also has a mask that is slightly rubbery, unlike previous "Masks of Power", which are solid plastic. This is because, in the story, the Toa Ignika (of which Nuparu is one) have masks that are somewhat "alive" in the sense that they sometimes move and respond more easily than other masks. Nuparu may have the Mask of Flight in the comics, but don't try tossing him out the window!
Nuparu retailed for $10 or a little more than $10 when it first came out, but now, the price seems to have raised to nearly 6x that amount! Buy it used or off of eBay.
Overall, this is a very detailed figure with many points of articulation. However, there are some Bionicles which are superior to this toy, but this one gives you more bang for your buck than most!
