Customer Review: So Cute, but Disappointing!

I bought this kitchen for my three little girls (aged 5 and 3 year old twins) for Christmas. I think it is so cute, but not very durable. Right after I put it together, the piece that held the oven door on broke and that caused the screws from the bottom hinge to come out and i had to find longer screws to put it back together. Also, the next day, one of the screws in the hinge of the microwave broke in half so the rest of the screw is stuck inside. Lastly I think this kitchen is just not as durable as I thought it was going 2 be around my rough little girls, I needed something that could last under lots of abuse and this was not it, just yesterday they pulled too hard on the oven door and snapped the wood off the hinges. We purchased the Kidkraft large kitchen, and due to a backorder, ended up getting the Kidkraft Ultimate Kitchen. We did have to contact the company about some damaged pieces, which they were extremely helpful and prompt in responding and sending out new ones. On a whole, the kitchen is gorgeous and a great imaginative play center. It does have a few downfalls, such as some of the construction is not as high of a standard as one would hope with such a large price tag. It has some chipped paint on some areas. Be prepared for about 2 hours of putting it together. Even with having to wait and get new parts, I would order this again. It is much better quality than anything you can buy at a local toy store and is both fun and a gorgeous toy.Customer Review: The Absolute Best!

I scoured the internet looking for the perfect size kitchen for my little girl. I finally found this kitchen and it looked great. It arrived in less than a week and was a breeze to put together. All the bolts and screws are color coded and packed in a nice tray so they aren't lost in the box. The only other tools I needed was a Phillips screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, and a 7mm rachet tool (used at the end to screw the caps on the hinge bolts). It didn't call for the rachet tool but I like to make sure everything is well tightened. I would recommend this toy to anyone looking for a good, sturdy kitchen set for their child. My little girl loves it and, at 20 months, is beginning to make-believe with her kitchen.Customer Review: wishful thinking

I bought two of these this year. One has to be returned because it is to big for the Granddaughters bedroom. This wonderful gift or a dresser. Mom opted for dresser space. The other will fit fine in the play room. My son put it together and says he will have to secure it to the wall for fear of Grandaughter knocking it over. He thinks his girl may rip the doors off eventually. This is a bit to tall for the girl who is getting one. She is only 18 mos but tall for her age. The other girl is 2 but small for her age, She would not be able to reach the counter for a while. Both girls are playing with pots and pans so they will like which ever kitchen they get. I cannot wait to be able to "play" in their kitchens with them.Customer Review: The best one out there

This is the best kitchen out there. My kids have had it for about a year now. (4 and 2, a girl and a boy) And they LOVE it. They play with it everyday. We have TONS of kitchen accesories and they all fit. The freezer is one open space, the fridge has one shelf, the stove has one shelf and the pantry has one shelf. So this doubles as your storage too. My husband put it together, no problems. And i must add...the box came very damaged (it's very heavy and i guess the ups guy wasn't happy about that). It ended up that 4 major pieces were badly damaged. I called kidkraft and they sent brand new pieces (the big sides) no questions asked!!! so to top off a great product is a great company.
