I bought this set for my daughter last Christmas (2008) when she was not quite two and it was an immediate hit. It's just the right size for little girls under 3, but you do have to be careful with those spoons for kids under the recommended age group (as you'd expect). Another caution--the pieces WILL break if they're dropped on a hard surface. The sugar bowl was the first to go when it fell off the pew at church. We lost a tea cup when it fell off the couch. And finally, we had to say goodbye to the set completely when my son (14 months) threw the teapot on the floor and it shattered. I still think this is a good toy...after all, we had it for over a year and were still playing with it regularly up until last week. But keeping it for tea picnics on the floor might ensure yours lasts longer than ours did.Customer Review: Great for all ages!

I bought this for a friend's daughter who was turning 2. I was hesitant at first because I thought she was too young. Not true! She loves it and has a tea party every day. The porecelin is very durable. The pieces are nice and big so she can handle them. The only thing is the spoons that come with is are a little on the small side and she immediately put them in her mouth and could have choked. So I would say if the child is still young enough where she puts everything in her mouth, hold back the spoons until she is old enough or supervize her very carefully while she plays with it.Customer Review: NOT Unbreakable

This is a very cute tea set. It is small, but it's just right for a young girls' hands (think how tiny a real tea set is for an adult). However, it is NOT unbreakable, which is why I bought it. My granddaughter who is 20 months old enjoys this tea set every day. Actually, she carries the tea set in its basket and has tea parties with her stuffed animals downstairs and upstairs. Grandma and Grandpa are delighted when she pours them a cip of pretend tea.Customer Review: Pleased

I ordered this tea set for my 2 year old niece for Christmas and she loved it!! Shipping was very quick. And I accidentally tested is durability while preparing it to be wrapped I dropped a piece on the hard wood floor and it didn't break or even crack.
