Toys and Games Reviews of Jump Smart Kid Safe Trampoline with Music and Games

Customer Review: Great fun for toddlers but not so fun to put together
Summary: 3 Stars

My son loves his "bouncy, bouncy." He's able to burn off steam during yucky weather and get some exercise too. I don't know how much (age 3) he really "gets" the game aspect of it, but he loves pushing the buttons to get the music going. Although I find it a bit loud and wish it had an on/off switch and that the volume went a bit lower than it does.

It seems sturdy enough. My son is 3 and only 30 pounds, so if it doesn't hold up I'll do an update.

This was the toughest toy I've put together, and there have been many toys to put together over the years. First of all the directions were mainly pictures, but they weren't detailed enough to be helpful. There was way too much head scratching going on, but once we figured out which direction the poles were supposed to be going, we did get it together fairly easily, i.e, the holes were drilled straight and the screws and other parts fit fine. The absolute worst was trying to pull the bungee cord through the holes. It took 3 of us to do so. In hindsight, I wish I would have looked harder to find something like this in a brick and mortar store, as I would have paid to have someone else put it together.

Again, biggest complaint is that it's a pain to put together. But, it is fun and seems sturdy enough.

Customer Review: Mixed Reviews/found replacement parts
Summary: 2 Stars

I have mixed reviews about this trampoline. We bought this for our 3 and 5 year old kids for Christmas. They both love the trampoline and fight over who gets to jump first. But only having it for barely 3 months, the bungee cord broke. I tried contacting the company from the information they gave on their instruction manual. What a joke!! The website is no longer available and their phone number has been disconnected. From looking at the other reviews, other people seem to have had similar problems. I finally googled 'replacement parts' for this trampoline and found an excellent website: http://www.1800trampoline.com/jumpsmarttrampolinereplacementparts.aspx
Even though you have to pay $15.00 for the replacement bungee cord, it's a heck of a lot better then chucking the trampoline or having it sit unused collecting dust.
I give this trampoline high marks for being fun. My kids love this trampoline when it's working and will jump on it for hours. Which is great this time of year when we are all cooped up inside. But I gave it very poor marks on durability since it broke such a short time after buying it. Plus the mfr obviously doesn't stand behind their product since you can't get ahold of them. I hope this info helps to others who I'm sure will have similar problems.

Customer Review: Love this but it broke~!
Summary: 5 Stars

We originally bought this for our two year old's birthday but it's the four year old who really loves it. During the winter when we were cooped up inside and watched way too much tv -the four year old could often be found bouncing up and down on the trampoline while watching a tv show. He jumps on it almost every day and I figure that's a pretty good way for him to burn off all that extra energy when we can't get outside to play! It was a little tricky to assemble but my husband and I did it in an evening and it seems pretty durable and hardy (aka my two boys haven't destroyed it and months later it still looks like new in spite of a lot of use!)
FAST FORWARD FOUR MONTHS -the red bungee cable that holds the green middle cloth and provides the bounce - snapped while my four year old son was bouncing on it - it appears that the cable was worn away by the grommets it was threaded through. The company has agreed to replace the cable -but offered no apology and no plans to fix the problem and now I get the fun job of trying to relace the darn thing. Bottom Line - this is a fun toy but for the price it should last more than four months - buy something else.

Customer Review: Great preschool trampoline
Summary: 5 Stars

We ordered this so our 5 year old could burn off some energy indoors during the Chicago winter months. This is just perfect for that! I think it is ideal age wise for 3 to 6 years old. My 20 month old enjoys it but is a bit young to really get jumping. It was quite a chore to set up- requires two adults. And we realized after assembly that it won't fit through the door frame to the basement so we will need to disassemble or take the door off the hinges to relocate- so set it up where you want it to be! Even so this is really worth it. We have it in our living room and several times a day our 5 year old climbs on and jumps to his hearts delight. For those who are a bit housebound in the winter, this is just excellent. The computer/games feature is fun. The music is happy. The counter is not always accurate, you really have to be jumping steady or it overcounts but that hasn't been a major problem. The games are really fun, one of them you have to freeze when the music stops and then wait to restart and we are always falling over laughing when he plays that. I recommend this as a preschool jumper.

Customer Review: No sounds and music on ours, but still a fun toy.
Summary: 4 Stars

My kids--3 years old and 2 years old--LOVE this trampoline and use it multiple times a day. I would give it five stars but ours is defective; the sounds that are supposed to be interactive with the jumping child (counting, etc) have never worked. When they push the buttons, one will make animal sounds and another will play music, but none of the other buttons work and there's no counting or any interaction. I tried several adjustments recommended in the owner's manual and it just doesn't work. However I don't mind, it just means less noise. (It doesn't bother me enough to return or exchange the trampoline.)

Other than that, it's a super-fun toy and still a favorite after six months. Extremely durable (which is important for a trampoline), I can see it lasting for years, and with the weight limit at 80 pounds they'll be able to use it for that long. It's a great way to get a little exercise and burn off some energy, especially when we can't get outside because of the weather.

If you have the space, this trampoline is useful and fun, definitely worth the money.
