I purchased this toy for my 8 year old son. Before purchasing I did a lot of reading and research and from what I found this toy seemed to meet all of my requirements.

All reviews were accurate except they all left one thing out. It does indeed fly indoors and does pretty well once you get it flying. It is sturdy and crashes but doesn't break. The main problem is you need a fairly large space to fly it. We couldn't get it airborne from the ground even though we have fairly long hallways (it doesn't taxi straight very easily). When hand launching you need at least a 15'x 15' room to get it initially flying. Like all propeller driven aircraft the aircraft turns nose to the left without right rudder, but without the exact touch it is very difficult to get the aircraft to fly straight and level intially. So if you hand launch the aircraft and let it gain speed and circle (to the left) to sort of get the handle of the throttle and how it flies we had much more success. My 8 year old hasn't been able to really turn the aircraft in our space but can "fly" it in circles. I have been able to get some manuerablility out of the aircraft and with practice will probably be able to do much better.

Finally, the product is good just indoors - in an average house - is probably not really a place you will be able to successfully fly this thing. I finally was sold on the product when I watched the video of the kid flying the aircraft in and out of a room that looked much the same as my house. Just be aware that this kid probably has flown this toy for at least 100 hours and practiced what you see on the video for several days, if not weeks.
