Customer Review: Great Pre-School Toy

My grandson (and myself) have spent many hours creating with this toy. We added the Undersea Friends to the Bucket of Buddies to give him more pieces. The pieces go together easily for smaller hands and seem very durable. This is a great toy for children (age 3 up) who like to use their imagination to create and build--also a good promoter of hand coordination.
I thought the toy to be a bit pricey, I still believe they could be sold for less but we have gotten our money's worth in hours spent creating.

My six year old son spends hours playing with his K'nex. We have bought several sets, and he uses the pieces to make some very intentive creations. The pieces are sturdy, and bright colored, and he uses the softer rods to put around his neck and waist; he has made robot breast plates, goggles, an electric guitar, a laster blaster, and a sword and stabbard. It is amazing the things that he has come up with to make with these toys, and he plays with them for hours. We have 3 of the Kid K'nex sets and together they have been the most played-with toys at our house for the past 4 years. My kids are now 11, almost 7, and almost 4. I would highly recommend any of the sets to any parent with kids under 5. Most of the pieces are safe enough for toddlers (the smallest blue connectors should probably be put out of reach if you have kids who chew on toys but the rest of the pieces are fine). They are durable and don't require batteries :-).Customer Review: 4 year old really likes this

We bought this for my son's 4th birthday. He really likes it. Its perfect for his age and ability. He can snap the pieces together quite easily and they stay together until he takes them apart which is great because he gets quite frustrated with things. He can build some really cool things with the pieces included. They also include a 2-sided poster with tons of ideas - from very simple to more complex. I bought it for my 3,5 years old son and he loves it! Pieces are easy to handle even for a toddler, many combinations to create different creatures, just use your imagination. We had a lot of fun building "aliens" and then playing with them. The manual gives you ideas, but you can come up with your own combinations. Great activity for cold winter days. I love the bucket itself too, it makes a convenient storage.
