My son dragged me into his preschool classroom to show me this toy and the things he could create. I decided to buy a set to have at home. I never dreamed how MUCH fun he would have playing with this toy. He literally will sit down and create things for hours. It is the most played with item of all the toys we own. It really encourages creativity and my son loves following the recommended patterns as well as coming up with his own creations. The pieces are very durable, yet flexible, and will not come apart as small legos sometimes do. The pieces fit together well enough to stay together, but yet aren't so hard to fit that a preschooler would struggle with it. The storage box is very sturdy and the hard top lid keeps pieces from getting lost. Definitely a good purchase!Customer Review: Excellent Toy!!! Not just for little boys!!

I bought this for my daughter when she turned 3. It is one of the best toy investments I've ever made. This toy lets your child "create" any type of creature or shape that their minds imagine. I thought my child was a genius when she made 4 dimensional squares and rectangles!!! Now she has taken to looking at the pictures and making the "critters" on the booklet. Easy, no reading required, all she has to do is look at the picture. This toy is great for any child!! I recommend this to any parent of a 3 to 6 year old~ it beats lincoln logs and legos hands down! My daughter is almost 5 and still "creates" with this toy on almost a daily basis!!! My son is high energy and full of life, so he'd much rather spend all day outside than at a table putting things together. When I can get his attention focused onto an activity, however, he really does spring to life and his imagination soars. This toy was a recommendation I read about and I purchased it for his 3-year birthday. He loves, loves to watch my husband and I make creatures and "pals," but is still a little timid about doing it himself. I think manual dexterity challenges him a little bit at this age, but that will improve with time. Still easier to grasp and work with than tiny Legos, and with this toy, there's not as much danger if there's a smaller sibling wanting to join in the fun.Customer Review: Can't keep my older daughter out of them!!

I bought these for my son (then 4.5) last Christmas and I bought my daughter (6.5 at the time)a bucket of regular Knex. Well within a week dd was begging ds to play with his Knex box and they both still play with them daily a year later. I ended up buying another bucket plus another kit because they love Kid Knex so much. Dd and ds rarely touch the regular Knex because they have so much fun with the kid version. They come with cool eyes and wings and shapes and the kids love to make all different kinds of creations with them. I am now back on ebay to buy a couple more bins of these because the kids are fighting over the pieces again because they want to build so many things!Customer Review: Another type of Lego , an open-ended toy!

This is the first Kid K'Nex toy that we bought for our 3 1/2-year-old boy and he loved it. The parts are big enough for the preschooler's hands and very easy to snap together. First he made many different designs by himself and was very proud of it. After a month, he started trying the designs in the design booklet. I was surprised to see that he was able to duplicate the models, though I prefer that he makes his own designs which he still does. I like the flexible parts and wish there were more than 2. Overall, I'm very happy with this toy.
