This is a small cardboard box (maybe 6 inches by 6 inches?), that opens like a book. On one side of the book is a section that holds 80 individual pages to be colored. All of the pages fit perfectly and are held in the box at the 4 corners. (Easy to take out a page, and easy to re-stack and push back in.) On the other side of the cardboard book is a section for 6 markers; again held in creatively by parts of the cardboard so that they are easy to remove, but don't easily fall out.
We recently traveled over 2000 miles in 1 week (over Thanksgiving). My daughters colored these sheets for hours. literally. They loved the variety of pictures to color, the different colored markers included, and I loved that everything was in its place. Sure, a marker would fall out from time to time (or everything would fall to the floor when a girl would suddenly fall asleep)... but it was very easy to put back together. Compact, and hours of fun.
My girls are almost 5 yrs old, and it was perfect. My girls do like to color, but I wouldn't say that they enjoy that more than other activities. However, this held their attention more than the computers, or anything else that I packed!
