For the price I suppose its decent enough but the latch/sides don't meet up properly when folding it together. Also, the little elastic straps on the inside to hold the pieces broke the first time I tried to use them. Additionally, the top of the board is beveled and looks like its going to come off any second.

This is an excellent choice if you are looking for an all wood chess set. One of the pawns did have a little uneven base, which is a little annoying but we aren't expert chess players so its okay. The pieces are very light and yes the board and chessmen are all real wood. It was a good buy.Customer Review: Excellent first set.

This is a great chess set. The board is inlaid, set has a 3" King, and hand-carved Staunton pieces. I also purchased the Drueke Wood Checkers; they match this set perfectly. We're very pleased with both purchases. Highly recommend this set and the checkers.

Deluxe Wood Chess Set
This is a great chess set. It seems to be durable. The board is perfect and sturdy. The pieces are gorgeous. I'm very happy with this set!

While this is a good and inexpensive wooden starter set, the design for holding the chess pieces is very cheap and broke within days. The pieces are made of very light and soft wood. fine as a starter set for kids, but something more durable would have been nice.
