Toys and Games Reviews of Jakks Creepy Crawlers BugmakerCustomer Review: well ... Summary: 4 StarsI have very fond memories of making "bugs" when I was a child and was happy to see this product resurface. You need to buy a lightbulb (not included). This is really a time-consuming process, each individual batch takes several minutes to cook, then even longer for the oven to cool down so you can open it. I wasn't supervising close enough on the first go around, and my oldest forced the door open, breaking it. I was able to superglue the piece back on and it works again, but with such long wait times, it was hard to hold the kid's interest. I'm still glad I bought it, and I even ordered the Spongebob mold set, but I think I'll be the one encouraging the kids to get it out rather than the other way around.
Customer Review: Just plain fun. Summary: 5 StarsMy little boy loved making creepy crawlers, just as I did 40 years ago. Although the product has changed cosmetically, it is basically the same as it was back then. Just plain fun. Makes his tongue stick out the side of his mouth when he is carefully pouring the goop into the molds.
Customer Review: Easy Buggy Fun Summary: 4 StarsI got this for my 5yr old son and 7yr old nephew. It is easy to use. I like how the door won't open until the bug tray is cool - so no accidental burns. I knew it didn't come with a lightbulb but that info could be posted a little bigger on the box. Other than that the boys are having a good time with this toy.
Customer Review: My kids LOVE this! Need more goop! Summary: 4 StarsI bought this for my son for Christmas and all four of my kids love it. They've used up all the "goop" and we have a pile of creepy-crawlies which they are having lots of fun with. It's easy and the results are really impressive. I didn't think the lack of a light bulb was a big deal. So, the kids had to wait a day for dad to pick up a bulb. Whatever. It was worth the wait. The kit really is neat. Kids love creating things and little boys are wow-ed by the nifty results. Very creepy little critters. I'm here on Amazon shopping for some refills so the kids can continue their fun.
Customer Review: Where to get re-fill goop? Summary: 5 StarsWe bought this toy for our 5 year old daughter who just loves bugs! We read the directions prior to her opening so we had the bulb ready to go. No big deal. The only problem is she and the rest of the family have made so many bugs that now we are out of the goop and are trying to find more. Where to find???
