I bought this for 2 of my grandchildren for their birthdays- ages 6&7 & another grandchild is 8 & joined in the fun. I knew ahead of time that we needed the chandelier bulbs so that was not a problem. We really enjoyed this, but it definitely involved constant adult supervision. I was especially relieved to find that the "bugs" were easy to remove from the molds & they were good quality when they were done. We have alot of other fake "bugs" & these were comparable. All in all, I thought this was well worth the cost.Customer Review: BEWARE! Cheap Toy!

Beware this toy is not worth the money! Nowhere on the box does it say the light bulb to heat the bugs is not included. We got this toy as a gift for a child in our family and is was very disappointing. How cheap can the maker be to sell a toy that does not include the needed hardware to make it work. It is one thing to have an electronics toy that says batteries not included, you expect that; and you just include the batteries with the gift. No warning with this toy. What a disappointment!Customer Review: So much fun!!

My 5 year old loves this product. The refill goo is a little on the pricy side, but we will order it anyhow. I have not fiugred out the exact time for the bugs to cook under the light bulb, but after about 7 min the machine began to put off a foul odor, i guess they are done... lol!! One thing you must know is : You will need a 100 watt bulb, it does not come with the oven!! I had a bit of a tough time finding a regular light bulb that was not energy efficiant!!Customer Review: Takes too long! Instructions confusing!

When I was a kid 30 years ago this type of toy was more dangerous but a lot more fun. The oven has a safety feature that doesn't let you open it until the mold is thoroughly cooled. So after you bake one mold you have to wait up to 20 minutes for it to totally cool until you can bake another.
The instructions are also confusing. It's not clear when you are supposed to use the "Goop FX" instead of the "Plasti-Goop" or why.

DON'T BUY THIS! It is cheap and worthless. I live in a big city & went to four different stores to find the correct lightbulb you need to "bake" the bugs. It broke after the first use and we followed the directions exactly as stated. A huge disappointment to kids. I would not recommend this to anyone! This is without a doubt the worst toy I have purchased from Amazon. It should be taken off the site. I sent it back immediately.
