Customer Review: CHANGED REVIEW FROM OK TO A WASTE OF MONEY!! (when reading think Roman Numerals)

Okay, first I will say I bought mine one sale and paid NOWHERE near current price listed, and maybe that has tainted my review, because for the current list price I would probably be pretty upset right now, but for what I paid for mine my 5 year old daughter loved it and I am fine with it. We bought this without reading any reviews. After purchase, I then saw all of the 1 star reviews, and thought "I need to return this." But, my husband had already wrapped it. So Christmas morning, my 5 year old daughter opens it, and LOVES it. After all the gifts were open, this was the one she went for first. Soooo, we made a cupcake.
The set up is easy, the whole process is easy. My 5 year old did everything with minimum supervision from me. When it came to frosting the cupcake, 2 things--make sure the frosting is not too watery, and I recommend practice runs with the timing. The machine is a pull down handle, and if you pull too fast and the frosting is too liquid--it will fly EVERYWHERE. My daughter practiced without frosting to make sure she knew how slow to go. Taste wise--um well gourmet it's not, instant box it's not. But what can you expect from something that you microwave for 30 seconds? Her cupcake looked nothing like the one on the outside of the box, but then she didn't seem to care--she was proud that she had "made" it herself.

Originally I gave this product 3 stars. Well, I cannot not with a clear conscience give this product 3 stars, so I am lowering it to 1 star. It truly is a waste of money--even with the low amount that we paid for it, I know Amazon won't usually post reviews with prices in them, so let's just say that I paid X for mine and that was too much. The first day my daughter made the confetti cupcake, and said it was okay. Today we made the other 2 flavors, and neither my 5 year old daughter, my 7 year old son, or my 3 year old dog would eat the cupcakes they were that inedible. My son and daughter said the cupcakes tasted like fish. The machine itself also did not function properly this time, the machine does not come apart and evidently when we cleaned it we had missed some frosting stuck under the spinner and it had dried preventing it from spinning--so the frosting went everywhere but the cupcake. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
