For all the great news about this toy, we are sorely disappointed. The magnification is great...too great. You can't tell what anything is. The zoom adjustment is too difficult for a child, my husband struggles changing the zoom. As the unit is hand-held with no assisting stand, the image on the screen is constantly "on the move". I really like how easy this toy is for kids to use. I have a 3 and 6 year old and they can both operate and manipulate the bionic eye. Its absolutely perfect for their age. I've wanted a microscope for them to start exploring with and this is one is perfect. I think a traditional microscope would have been to complicated and mostly likely broken during the first use.Customer Review: It's just OK

I got this 2 years ago for my then 5 and 7 year olds and the reception was cool at best. I thought I'd give it some time because they had just gotten so much for Christmas but still now it has hardly been touched. I't worked as promised but just didn't hold any interest for them. I did try a couple times to initiate interest in it but it just never caught on.Customer Review: not to shabby

it comes with a little map to find treasure that we all liked using. the only set back is that you have to hold it right up against whatever you are looking at or it will not pick up the image. it was easy to hook up and comes with a stand to set it on. i would recommend for a child a little. my son is 4 and i bought it for him. he lost intrest fastCustomer Review: Great fun for all

This is a wonderful, educational toy that magnifies simple, everyday objects for young people. It shows them the makeup of home furnishings, animals, even human hands, eyes, hair, etc. Good for school experiments and learning in general. We magnified the family dog, carpet fibers, skin, human hair, floor composition, etc. Great learning experience.
