Toys and Games Reviews of Eyeclops Bionic Eye Multizoom, Green

Customer Review: Excellent educational time waster!
Summary: 5 Stars

We purchased this for my 10 yr old grandson. We just had to hook it up and try it out before we gave it to him. We had as much fun as he did! He just loves it. He spends as much time outside looking for things to magnify as he does playing with the toy. The only trouble with it was the switch where you turn it on doesn't always work properly. We have to turn it off and on several times before the picture quits rolling on the tv. After switching it off and on a few times, it works fine. Overall, this was an excellent choice for a toy.

Customer Review: Sneaky science fun for people of all ages
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this for a girl's fifth birthday, but it was a hit with everyone involved at the party, from 5 years old to 40 years old. The other reviews are correct to mention the poor focusing ability and that there's too much reflectivity on light colored objects. The clarity when you get things in focus (which isn't TOO hard on 100x and 200x) is amazing, even on an older SD television. It's not an amazing microscope, but it's perfectly capable. What it looses in quality, it more than makes up for in accessibility and fun.

Customer Review: Save you money
Summary: 1 Stars

Save your money buy a USB microscope instead. This thing is rubbish. The image quality renders it practically worthless, a constant deep red overlay on everything you want to look at, difficult to focus for an adult let alone the kids. We bought one for our 5 year old and to say it was a failure is an understatement. Don't know where the images on the carton came from but they sure were not made with this thing, we'll be seeking a refund from the retailer on the grounds that it doesn't do what it claimed it will do.

Customer Review: Fun but a little disappointing
Summary: 3 Stars

My daughter loves everything about science from rocks to solar system to knowing how things are made/work. We got this for her for Christmas as she really liked it. The only bad thing is with this one you can only go so far from the TV because it is a Plug-n-play style system and it's hard to really see much in the 400X mode. We had to switch it to the 100x mode for her to really see things like the threads in jeans, etc. The 400x just basically brings up a black blurred screen. Not worth $50 but is worth $20-$25.

Customer Review: Long lasting fun
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a very educational toy and my kids love it! I gave it to my 10 yr. old son for Christmas, but everyone has had fun with it, even Grandma. We have spent hours in front of the T.V. looking at things with this. My son was amazed at what his skin really looks like. He must find something to look at with it at least once a day.
Our only disappointment is that the image quality is not as good as what is shown on the box and advertising.
I would highly recommend this toy.
