I bought the EyeClops for my son's eighth birthday. He likes toys that let him explore, and this one is great. The whole family has enjoyed sitting around the TV, looking at everything around us. We've even invited other children over to play with it. We homeschool and use a microscope frequently, but this allows everyone to see the object at the same time, and discuss it. We've only had it for two weeks, so I'm not a good judge of the durability yet. The only change I would like to see in future models would be to allow the magnification to start at 50x or 100x and move up, since it is sometimes difficult to zero in on a specific spot at the 200x level.Customer Review: Fascinating look at everything!

My 13-year-old son, who was not expecting this gift, looked at me like I was crazy for giving it to him. He then proceeded to walk through the house looking at everything and yelling "Hey, you gotta see this! His initial problem with the product was that it looks too much like a kiddie toy. He's right. I would recommend that they make another version, that does the same thing and looks more like a science instrument. Appearance aside, it's the only thing on the market that I can find, at any price, that allows a person to have such a close-up view. Insects look amazing under this thing! He will be using it to examine fruit flies for his science fair project.Customer Review: EyeClops is the Greatest !

What a great toy ! I cant say enough about how this unique toy thrills kids of all ages that play with it. As for the adults , we just sat around and watched the kids play with it and laughed. They were having such a great time.
This toy was EASY to use , easy to set up for my 9yr old. Younger children may need help installing the batteries and plugging in the cable , but I doubt it. It is recommended for 6-12 yr range.
I got a good laugh out of the negative comments for this product. There are always a few that gripe about a product when they arent bright enough to use it.
3 Cheers for a toy that promotes curiosity , and thought !!

I bought this for when my grand children and nieces and nephews visit. Their ages range from 2 1/2 to 18. They ALL loved the EyeClops! We looked at fabric, bugs, dust, onion skins, food, our skin, the cats' hair and so much more. The kids were mesmerized and each took a turn looking at something they chose to view. Even the most flighty of the kids was glued to the images on the screen and we all talked and interacted and learned. I had my computer next to the tv and we looked up about skin cells, dust, bugs and all. Several hours passed quickly and the kids didn't want to stop for dinner. This was a lot of fun. Our family of 5 kids had a fun morning with this toy. We looked at everything you could think of; skin, carpet, hair, armpit, nose, eye (not sure if that's wise or not but the light wasn't overly bright), penny, ear, dog, toe jam, and dead skin cells. This is a good educational toy. Plus they made it of the bulky junky plastic kids seem to love. The eye is a funny and creative design for this. It's a quality product and appears it will hold up well. I only gave it 3 stars for durability because kids could damage it if they were rough with it I'm sure, and we have only had it one day.
