Toys and Games Reviews of 69" x 69" x 53" Jump-o-Lene Castle Bouncer

Customer Review: Great Substitute for the Real Thing!
Summary: 5 Stars

Santa brought this for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas this year to replace jumping on my bed! It is incredibly durable and handles my young son and my 10 year old playing in it together. Blowing it up initially was not a problem, since I had an air pump, however I do recommend having a small opening attachment, since only one of the sections has a large opening. Since we have hardwood floors, I also purchased 24 Sq. Ft. (set of 6 + borders) 'We Sell Mats' Anti-Fatige Interlocking EVA Foam Flooring-Set of six Multi-Color Tiles-Each 2'x2'x3/8" Thick to keep it from sliding and from possibly getting punctured from underneath. My only compliant is how strong the plastic smell was once it was blown up. After 2 days it has pretty much gone away. He absolutely loves his castle!

Customer Review: So far it's good
Summary: 4 Stars

So far I've inflated it up and it's holding up well. The construction is a little flimsy so I wouldn't recommend it outdoors unless you are 100% sure there are no debris that could puncture the product.

I'm keeping it in the basement for now. Be forewarned it's big - bigger than it looks on the picture. My daughter is a little apprehensive of playing inside due to its size. I figure she'll love it when she has a playmate to join her.

The inflatable swords are junk - they bend over too easily no matter how much air is in it. I would just toss them.

The balls that came are also junk. They deflated too easily and there's simply not enough compared to the size of the bouncer. I would buy a minimum of 100 balls if you want to have it filled up. Otherwise it's just fine the way it is without the swords and balls.

Customer Review: Perfect for Cold Winter Days
Summary: 4 Stars

We got this for our two year old, who'd asked for a trampoline for Christmas. Since they are so unsafe, we decided on a bouncer instead. The walls make it much safer for the kids to jump, and the castle theme fits into our Disney Princess playroom. It sets up in just a few minutes. We used a manual pump that also inflates our kiddie pool in the summer - you do NOT need an electric pump for this bouncer!

The girls' playmates LOVE coming to our house to jump. The only negative thing I can say about it is this - I wish it had a higher weight limit so I could jump too (although my kids and their friends have more than once exceeded the 120 lb/2 kids max rule, and we've had no problems). The bouncer came wrapped in white paper, so the kids had no idea what was inside. I really appreciated this, as it was a gift from the man in red.

Customer Review: A lot of fun, but no lasting playability
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this item for my 2yr old son for Christmas this past year and when it arrived we got it setup for Christmas morning. He loved bouncing around in the castle and playing with his friends, they enjoyed playing pretend and battling with the swords. But the disappointing part was it only lasted for about two weeks because the seems in the castle started coming apart and it all started to deflate. And let me clarify, these were not holes but the actual seems where the compartments were put together were just coming apart and leaking air out. So I am now in the process of trying to return this item for a replacement, we'll see how that goes. Overall, if you want something fun for your child this is great, but if you want something that will last this is not the a good choice. You may want to buy something else that will last...

Customer Review: Birthday Fun
Summary: 4 Stars

Bought this for the kids to play with at my daughter's 2nd birthday party. The kids really enjoyed it and even though we had the party at a playground, I think the castle was played with the most. One word of caution is that it took me more than 30 minutes with a hand pump to inflate it. Initially I thought about purchasing an electric or battery pump but since I knew I'd be away from home I chose to buy something guaranteed reliable. My only complaint so far is that, although it has a large release valve for the main chamber which works great, but there are four total chambers with valves that must be held open to deflate. It took three of us 10 minutes to get it 3/4s empty and then gave up. Overall I think that this is a fun purchase for small children. Just don't expect to be able pull it out any old time.
