Toys and Games Reviews of 69" x 69" x 53" Jump-o-Lene Castle BouncerCustomer Review: LOADS OF FUN, takes up major room, questionable durablity Summary: 5 Stars
My 28 month old got this for Christmas.
We used an electric pump that we had for our air mattresses to blow it up. It was very easy to blow up, it took 10 to 20 minutes. We recruited an uncle to blow it up. :)
My son loves his Castle Bouncer! He dives into it, jumps around inside, bounces off the walls, and runs around in circles. He also likes to just relax inside his castle, and lays in there sometimes with his blanket.
My 6 month old likes to lay in there too. He kicks around and likes to grab at the balls (I already had 50 extra balls to add to the 24 that came with this product).
I highly recommend this product for the fun factor, BUT you certainly need to take the size of this bouncer into consideration before buying it. It isn't something you want to blow up and take down often. I wouldn't recommend buying it, if you are unsure if you have a good place to keep it that your kids can get to easily and isn't in your way.
(Edit: After writing my original review, my son started jumping into his castle without using the doorway. Do not let your kids use the outside of the walls to dive onto or climb over, if you want this product to last!!! There is a hole in the wall and it deflated, even though the base is completely inflated. It is probably going to be a major pain to locate and repair the hole. It has been stored away for a while, but I am going to get it out and try to repair it because I know the kids will have a blast with it.)
Customer Review: Great!!! I BROKE It. Summary: 4 Stars
Well besides the fact I popped the "seam of the crown shaped top of one of the lamp post"..As i began the pump not noticing at that time.. the " light posts" are attached 2 Area 2 another valve..or WHATEVER...lol until I had already gave it air where i saw a valve on the light post, and Got that shock of sound & life, when a ballon pops unexpectedly. there are MULTIPLE VALVES as well as a few sequenced instructions to follow. As u see i didn't read first. I does pay..lmao.. we r trying rubber glue so far .. waited for it 2 dry & re~ inflated it diddn't stay we will keep trying.
~*~*~*~*~* There was no bad "new toy" smell as previously mentioned by one or two reviews. And it cleans well with CLOROX WIPES.
I have it n my furnished LIVING ROOM with my christmas tree up & the space is not overwhelmingly crowded or taken up with this thing.
My son is still very young for this but I wanted it for his 1st Birthday theme in MARCH/09. hubby thinks I'm pretty smart 4 this one instead of renting.. u can just buy Great Bouncers Here,:P
This is OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS with our little PRINCe so i Bought it.. It looks great like the photo..cute & it seems to be Able to be filled with enough air & be safe to be bouncy enough, yet still sturdy & is High enough on the sides so kids r not going to be spilling out the top. easily.
i enjoyed as well that it arrived at my door Lickety Split.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! 2 I'll take pictures & post them soon.
Customer Review: IT WILL LEAK IN A FEW WEEKS Summary: 3 Stars
It is hard to believe that there are so many 5 point reviews, perhaps they are written before a few weeks of use. I keept every precaution sugested by the manufacturer, clean floor surface, room temp, minimal presure to keep the thing inflated, my dauther is just a one 26 pound toddler, but still little leaks start happening after 3 weeks. The leaks happen typically in the seams what is harder to detect and fix. I am guessing the seams can not handle the regular air pressure of the toy over the time, and that is now that my dauther still is not jumping on it, just moving and trying to walk on it. The good news is that so far in 5 months I had about 3 holes and I was able to fix them since they were still small. Just sand, clean, and a couple vynil glue drops on the hole to insure glue gets inside and outside fixed it, forget about patches over the seams. We'll see what happens when my dauther gets bigger and start jumping on it. I am not sure why the price now is like over $180 and if sombody is really paying that. Back in November it was around $50 that is what I paid and I don't think it is worth a dime more than that, specially thinking in the low durability of the toy.If you want it just for a month or have patience to keep it fixed, go ahead but over $180 sounds to scam to me.
Customer Review: Great fun but didn't last Summary: 4 Stars
We got this castle bouncer for our two daughters 16 months and 3 years of age for this past Christmas. The girls absolutely loved it and had so much fun in it. I never let them go in there with shoes or anything sharp, not even barretts in their hair. Within a little over 2 weeks of use it split along the seam in the 3rd chamber (there are multiple chambers), which it happens to be one of the most important chambers because it's one of two chambers that allow the bottom to inflate. I noticed that a little further down the seam it looks like it's going to split again. We tried to repair it but of course it didn't work being along a seam. I contacted Intex and asked what kind of warranty there is on this product for only using it for a little over 2 weeks and it splitting along the seam, they said there is absolutely no type of warranty on it and I have to go back to the store to get a replacement/refund. The store no longer carries the bouncer and I'm not sure if I will get a refund. What a hassle. I would understand Intex's policy normally, but we had this literally for 3 weeks and my 16 month old and 3 year old do not exceed the weight limit (total of 55 pounds). I did expect that at some point it would get a hole or tear in it but not after such a short use. What a disappointment.
Customer Review: Toys R Us version on this bouncer Summary: 2 Stars
I want to clarify before I make my statement. I did not purchase this exact item. I am commenting on Toys-R-Us's version of the castle bouncer that they carry in stores, I do not see it listen on the website currently. This item shown here is not available in the store, online only as I was told. Anyway, I purchased the other version of this bouncer a couple weeks ago and am extremely disappointed with it!! My child loved it, he just turned 2, although he liked it more to lay in and watch tv in rather than jump. I has been very lightly used in the couple weeks we have had it and from the first couple days was leaking air from several seams and the main seem in the center of the bounce area that keeps the bouncer stabilized has come completely apart leaving it useless. It is now dangerous for my child to even sit on much less bouce because it flips over on top of him. The store will not exchange!! I feel that the Toys R Us castle bouncer should be recalled because I do not feel it is well made and poses a possible danger. I do plan on reporting this further and suggest consumers to stay away from that product. I only hope that this brand castle bouncer is better made, my intention was to purchase this bouncer but as I said was told that it is not carried in the store.
